BellaGooch BellaGooch We did enjoy the company. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed the sun and woods pictures. It is a beautiful spot. I guess that’s why the kitties chose it. The Clowder does get along but they survived together. I expect that has a lot to do with many of them being so close. Some were of many years before but they all appreciate having their house. They are so kind to allow me to share. :) Very sweet kitties.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Gotta catch up here! Lol Elvis doesn’t need Banjo backup. He has a Froggie!
The knickknacks are so great! Lots of favorites there but the little chessie is snorgable!
Baby Su and a knuckle sandwich!:flail:I know she can give better than she gets. Knuckles taste great to any Baby Su. I bond with the purrsonalities too. Unconditional love is what cats do. They love us in spite of us being humans. Lol TLC is Tender Loving Cat. In spite of any knuckling biting. As we all know, those are love nibbles.

tabbytom tabbytom Cats have been all those things for me. I do live by the gift and grace of a cat heart. Each sun rises for me, lifted by the paw of a cat. They are my smiles.
I do love the pawverbs.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Isn’t that a song....? Knick knack Catty whack give the cat a home.....? Oh.... maybe I changed that a bit.;) Lol

M maggiedemi I thought you might get a bit out of that particular post.;) Safe passage and moving through the blinking light.... yes.
I can imagine your voice tinkling like wind chimes in the breeze. Fierce is there. It just doesn’t rise unless really needed. Safely tucked away.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Oh my! Latex and girdles. Thank goodness girdles are gone. Fainting couches too! One brought about the need for the other. The poor women of yesteryear who had to be cinched into things! Latex? Lol Fashion shifts are gratefully received.

It just totally blows my mind that BJ was once the ferocious feral that you feared would "eat you" that first night he was inside.
Now he's the most lovable teddy bear, er, kitty of them all. :lovecat:

Continuing to keep my fingers crossed that those sightings are Thrasher, and that she finds the courage to come back home. :hearthrob:

Maybe fierce in the sense that I never give up & I keep trying different solutions? 🤔

I have heard her coloration referred to as tabico, as in part tabby and part calico
I've got a new favorite! I don't remember ever seeing a pic of her before. I do love my rainbow kitties. ❤

Gorgeous colorfuls, N NY cat man and Lari Lari ! And yes, Digger is tabico or calaby! Either way, a lovely lady!
That's a wonderful reworking of that jingle, Jcatbird Jcatbird ! I'm all for replacing the original with that one! I'm glad you see how special that little "chessie" is. There's just something about her expression, isn't there?
I think Baby Su is more serious than loving when she gnaws my knuckles. And when she genuinely bites? Absolutely serious. I can never understand people who get upset about cat bites. Do they get mad when kids get too physical? No, because they're THEIR kids. When you love someone, you accept them for who they are. Of course you can educate and train kids not to be like that. To some degree, some cats can be socialized, too. But Suha is Suha and I love everything about her -- bites and all.
BJ is amazing. What an excellent tracker he is and I feel as you do that he was definitely "onto something" -- hopefully Thrasher is very soon coming home! It's such a beautiful environment there, but not the perfect home for a cat who has a better one waiting for her to return. *COME HOME, THRASHER!!!* :hearthrob: :runningcat: :hearthrob:

N NY cat man Digger is really beautiful. I love the markings. Each kitty carries their own beauty. Great poses Digger!

rubysmama rubysmama Kitties never cease to amaze. BJ is a cat hero. Today he was startled by a human machine but I can tell you, he knows what he is doing. For sure!

M maggiedemi A new favorite? Maybe they are all favorites? Lol We can’t let Lelia and the others hear that they have lost the fav spot. They are all top of the rainbow.
Fierce as in fiercely determined. ;)

Lari Lari Hi Lelia! You are a most beautiful rainbow kitty! Callie says you can be her favorite.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Like you, I accept the kitties as they are and love everything about them. Even when Mackie wants to add piercings. Lol He is a bit on the punk side. Lol

Baby Su is still being kittenish maybe? Chewing instead of trying to nurse. Purry does that.
The Chessie does have the sweetest expression. Very real.
You are right about BJ. Never doubt the abilities of a cat.;)

Read on.

I need to post very early today. Tomorrow is a very important vet appointment. It’s a quality of life exam. I need every second of time here today. I am hoping test values come back good.

The other news is this. Look close. See the outline of a cat in the dark?
D76E707C-5D64-4C31-B3C1-927EAB63B24F.jpeg

Obviously ,I could not tell any more than anyone else there but I sat motionless. After about a half hour, a cat emerged from under a shed. Into the bright sun of day, without any doubt at all, there was Thrasher. She spotted me and circled right back under the shed to emerge on the side where I had placed a third dish of chicken. I had placed the dishes according to my observations and BJ’s indications. Spot on! The sun lit up the gold in her fur and I saw her face clearly. I had watched a cat moving through the underbrush but until she emerged, I could not be sure. Now I am. Thrasher lives. I say still long enough for her to eat and I will repeat this routine at each meal. Never pursuing until she indicates she recognizes me again. I tried to take BJ back there but he got spooked by a lawnmower across the road and fled back into the gate. Then he held up his paws for me to pick him up. He was willing to circle around and go close to where Thrasher had been. He marked a trail for her and then returned towards the house so I brought him back inside. He is an amazing cat. He does love his Clowder. Cats are the most devoted of creatures. I am guessing he will want to do another search late today. My heartfelt thanks to everyone for holding out hope that Thrasher is still out there. Hope paid off. Never, ever give up.

If I may, I would like to ask for very strong hope, purrs and paryers for tomorrow. The appointment is for Smokey. She is a tough girl and my hope extends to her.

Now, how about a smile?
When I returned last night after crossing over the paths that Thrasher has been traveling, Banjo got very excited. After she released her Dad from his harness, she turned her attention to me.

Being sniffed intensely! Lol

Oh, Jcatbird Jcatbird , I'm sitting her crying happy tears, that you've had a positive sighting of Thrasher. Now we all just need to be more patient as she learns to trust again. Which she will. And maybe next time BJ is out, she'll follow you and him home. :petcat:

Also sending love, hugs, good thoughts and vibes for Smokey's appointment tomorrow. You'll both be in my thoughts. 🤗

*PRAYERS* and PURRS from the heart for sweet beauty SMOKEY. Surround her with Love and loving energy. She is so very loved.
Thrasher is close and I pray she will come in very soon. Her clowder wants her back among the catpile.
Yes, Big Mackie and Suha share that aspect of their personalities, don't they? Anyone who truly loves and appreciates the essence of catness knows that when they are living their best lives being true felines, it's the best for all of us who love them, too.

Great news that Thrasher was spotted. But it still baffles me on what is holding her back and why is she so afraid to return home and even dare not approach you and the kitties

This morning, I told January to ask Thrasher to go home and January blinked his eyes.

Prayers Thrasher and Smokey

I don't know that Thrasher is scared. I think she's "reverting to feral" and because she's been at large and on her own for this amount of time, she knows she can survive that way. Not to say she won't change her mind. Praying she WILL change her mind. But if she's subsisting on rodents and able to hide from any dangers, she's probably feeling pretty confident.
