Chilly here for April but Cal went on a walkabout yesterday afternoon. She kept coming back to the deck to see if I was there, sweet girl.

hospitalization ?hope things are ok for you
Hospitalization is part of Medicare for in the event that something does happen since bills are so expensive it has nothing to do with current health
Medicare Benefits | SSA
when my Mom was in hospital 4 years ago with kidney infection for 2 weeks Aetna which is part of her Medicare Part A and B paid 98,000 of the 100,000 bill. That includes the ambulance that took her.

DS came with me to pick up our groceries and drop a birthday card in the mailbox at the post office since we missed our mail carrier today. So I got him a glazed donut when I stopped at Dunkin for an iced coffee. I rarely go anywhere with just him and he's had a hard few weeks in school so it was nice to treat him. And this coffee is delish! (Coconut raspberry!) :yummy:

Not really. It has a tiny bit of heat so I made sure both kids tried it. DS chose the alternative but he didn't complain about the spice. He's not a fan of things with a lot of flavor; doesn't dip, etc. DD loves spicy and always has!

DH and I like to stop at a coffee shop on the weekends and today was no exception. Since it was bright and sunny we decided to sit outside which turned out to be a good choice. The couple at the table next to us had the most handsome English golden retriever. He had a well-maintained coat and was extremely friendly. We spent over a half-hour talking to the couple which made our day even more enjoyable. :cool2:

As of today I am officially two weeks post my second vaccination. I am celebrating by making a trip tomorrow to Home Goods, a housewares store that has great stuff. It is always so dang crowded I have been too nervous to go there until now.
I am a HUGE HomeGoods fan. I went about six weeks ago but was nervous because it was crowded and got out of there fairly quickly.

Elphaba09 Elphaba09 That is absolutely gorgeous! It puts one of my positives to shame :flail: I had one of the photos I took when we were in Napa printed on canvas and I'm pleased with it -

My husband will be fully vaccinated as of tomorrow. We're on blood clot watch with him, but so far so good. :crossfingers: I'll be fully vaccinated on Friday.

We booked a long weekend away for next month. We haven't been anywhere since October of 2019 and it's been such a difficult year.

I donated around seven boxes of household decorations from my house yesterday and two boxes of puzzles from my mother's house. We also got rid of all of my mother's old oil paint, yard poisons, etc.

DD needed new shoes so we went shopping yesterday. Normally we drive to an outlet shopping center that has a few good shoe stores. But I remembered after we'd already left that they had been closing early since the pandemic started. So we decided to try a local place I've had good luck in before. I ended up getting her 2 pairs; good athletic sneakers and a casual one that looks good with leggings. She is almost as picky as DH "This one feels good here, but not here. This one there, but not here. I like the color on this part but not this color." She's not even a teenager yet!
I told DH it was his idea to shop; he should have taken her! But we got ices from a walk-up place afterwards so I got rewarded.
They were putting down one way stickers while I was there. Seems late for that COVID wise but may help with aisle clogging.
Our store has had them since last year but the pattern made no sense. You literally could not follow it and browse aisle to aisle. I've noticed them looking warn in a few places too. Walmart finally gave up the one way aisle too. People were disregarding it and 90% of the time the aisle I needed to visit was empty but i had to go through a packed one to get there. It's been better to just keep distance without worrying about following arrows. People have seemed to be careful to not take up as much space and move along if they notice us waiting to look where they are standing.
