Is it a bad idea to have your two litter boxes next to each other?

Is it a bad idea to have your only two litter boxes pretty much right next to each other? There is a small wall between them, but they're pretty much right next to each other.
Moving to a small 350 sq foot apartment with my two cats, and don't got much space. And the litter boxes as you can see in the image is fairly huge.

I have four litter boxes in a row right next to each other and the cats are fine with it.

Okay thanks. Also because of the wall the litter box to the right in the image is kind of tucked in and surrounded. Will my two cats find that a bit claustrophobic? It's a huge litter box, so it'll probably barely be able to fit in that space.

We have three cats. We could probably do with less litter boxes but this way we don’t have to worry if we aren’t able to clean them exactly on time.

But also, we have a convenient spot for them in a spacious mud room, which is not possible for many people, and it’s not necessary either. My mom has five cats and two litter boxes side by side and she has never had problems.

Cats like to poo in one. Pee in another so that should be fine.

I have two of the five litterboxes in my house next to each other. The other three are in other places around the house.
