I'm not allowed to take a second shower.
Sometimes, when I know I'm going to sweat a lot, or just want a shower after gardening, I wait and shower after I'm done. So maybe that could work for you.

None near me, but my crocuses are finally flowering.
My crocuses are blooming too. And I think they must multiply, because I seem to have a lot more than last year.

Overcast and a damp right now, but no actual rain, so I might get out for a walk. If I do, I'm going to wait and shower after my walk, as I suspect I'll have frizzy hair, plus be feeling rather clammy and cold when I get back.

We've been neglecting our exercise thread. How's everyone been doing this month?

I've been pretty busy with getting the deck and enclosure straightened up ready for spring, but I've been trying to walk and do yoga too.

Had a pretty good day today. I was up earlier than usual so did 90 minutes of yoga and a 90 minute walk before 1 pm.

I did gardening a couple days last week. Raked leaves, plus weeded and loosened the soil in the day lily bed, and one other perennial bed. The hostas are all still "sleeping", so I don't want to dig around in their beds and accidentally dig into one of them. Weather's gotten damp and cool again, so no outside work for a few days. Might try to go for a walk later, but not feeling too motivated at the moment.

I'm still waiting for a couple of dry days so I can paint the deck. I have been working on a couple of other projects, but I can't buy and plant flowers until the deck is painted so I really need the sun to come out.

90 minutes yoga and a ton of errands today.

90 minutes of yoga followed by a 90 minute walk in the rain.

I met one of my neighbours walking her new puppy today. He's a giant poodle. but he's only a baby so he's about waist height to me. He's a big happy ball of black fluff and I got to pet him!

:bliss:

I got sniffed over by some very suspicious cats when I got home though.

I’m getting restless and want to workout but with pulled muscle and torn ligament I can’t do anything but gentle stretching.

I'm just going to assume that I can substitute my regular exercises with sweating to death near 1500F at work. Been way too busy to do much other than work and sleep.

Running, aerobics, rope climbing, rock climbing, swimming, bike riding, or walking.

I have been rope climbing and jogging.

Hi! does anyone have some good exercises that I could try?
What are your goals TMcats? Do you want to tone up your muscles or build stamina or boost your energy levels?
What kinds of things do you enjoy doing? Play any sports? Dance? Like walking or cycling?

There are so many ways to exercise, but the best way to do it is to have fun with it.

I did two 30 minute yoga sessions today, and lots of outdoor work.

Hi everyone. I have started strength training and Ab work program over a month ago. I am trying to implement High Intensity Intermittent Training sessions into my weekly schedule. I also try to do a lot if walking as a base exercise. I want to lose over 50 pounds, but know it will take time.

My problem is my junk food (sugar) addiction and my bad bouts of insomia which I believe is slowing down my metabolism. Also, i have seen more than my fair share of troubles, I hope things are calming down now. I will be working on my diet soon, but I feel that I have a real battle on my hands. Has anyone lost significant weight, if so, what worked for you? I need to stay motivated. Thanks for this thread.

Welcome to the thread Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose

I don't have any advice on weight loss, but I think regular walks and drinking lots of water might help. Maybe some bedtime yoga would help you sleep?

I finally got everything that needs doing for spring finished, so now I can sit outside and enjoy my deck. It's a great place for morning yoga too.

:hyper:

I walked for an hour and did 45 minutes of yoga yesterday, 90 minutes of yoga and a 30 minute walk today.

I've done something weird to my foot. You know when you step on a rock and bruise the sole of your foot? It feels like that, but there is no bruise there. I think it's coming from a tendon further up my leg, as I can feel it behind my knee too. I'm doing lots of stretching and some shorter walks so as I don't make it any worse

I take my walk from 3pm to 5pm, so I can't wait until after that to shower. I shower at 8am now, after I do my 7am squatting exercises.

I lost half my body weight in one year by going vegetarian and taking my daily 2 hour walks. Getting the heart rate up helps a lot. I added in an hour of squatting exercises recently. I try to do them fast, so I get my heart rate up. I swing my arms when walking and whisper to myself "Get your heart rate up." It's a catchphrase that really helps.
No snacking either, except at meals, and I don't like dessert, so that helps. I also drink four 16 ounce bottles of water per day.

Thank you. I am grateful for this thread. I need all the motivation I can get. I have done Yoga Pilates combo in the past and oh boy did it do wonders for my posture. I will look into night time yoga. If I don't lose weight and I have been doing all I can from my end. I will then have to see the doctor and see what the problem is. I did my H I.I.T and Ab work on top of walking 40 minutes today. I want to get the walking to an hour, working on it. My muscIe tone is definitely improving. :yess:

Well, I will visit here as often as I can. Hopefully, I can motivate someone as well when I finally start making these necessary changes in my life.🙂
