Head wounds do bleed a lot like that.
Yeah I don't understand why a super small cut on the head turns into a murder article due to the head producing so much blood!
If only I was more coordinated and didn't need those squishy things that you put on the corners of tables to help me survive. :coldcat:

The reason that head wounds bleed so much is there are so many blood vessels in the scalp to keep the brain warm, and also, unlike in other less-vital parts of the body, those vessels lack the ability to constrict due to cold or injury. It is all part of the body's survival mechanism, developed over millions of years.
It has also led to the truism that if you feel cold, put on a hat, as the head is the area of greatest body heat loss.

Oh, I never thought to look up corner guards! I have a wooden shoe rack that I constantly brush by and get cut on. I'm buying some from Amazon now!

You really only need to drink water when you are thirsty. It's unnecessary to force yourself to drink a certain amount of water a day. Have you ever tried to drink more water after you were no longer thirsty? You're body basically tries to make it more difficult to swallow because you don't need more water.

Here's a link to an article about it.

Hmm, I'm not sure I agree with that. If I don't have enough to drink (and "enough" depends what I'm doing and how hot/dry it is, but it does seem to average around 8 cups a day), I'll have a walloping headache the next day. So sometimes I have to force myself to drink more than my thirst wants. Maybe it's an individual thing.

I have another friend with the same problem. Also, so me seniors have a tendency to ignore their thirst; it can help them to institute a personal policy of drinking a certain amount every so often, regardless of whether they think they need it.

They look terrible in my apartment but It's a compromise I have to deal with. :ohwell:
Also, Don't buy dull knives. If you accidentally cut yourself with a dull knife, the wound would be a lot deeper because of the amount of force you have to use to cut an object. So that's why I don't use knives. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

When I was about 9 or 10, my little sister fell and cut her head on the sharp edge of the shelf and ended up bleeding all over our carpet before we where able to get her to the hospital. (She was fine. They sealed it with super glue and it healed okay.) Anyways, My mom's at the time boyfriend used Hydrogen peroxide to remove the stains. All he did was pour a little on the stained areas, let it sit until it stopped bubbling, and whipped it up.
You can use it to clean carpets with a mix of Dawn detergent and vinegar. I use it in a hoover carpet scrubber instead of chemicals.

Lestoil (a heavy-duty cleaning product available on Amazon) will take out just about any grease or oil stain on clothing. I successfully used it once on a set-in stain that was a year old. Just dab a tiny amount on the stain and toss in the machine.

It comes in a plastic bottle but is so potent that over time it will eat its way through its own container....

I actually use those knife gloves with metal strands in them whenever I'm using knifes. They're kind of a pain (especially when wet) but they've saved me from many cuts!
