I finished part one of War and Peace. Still chugging slowly along 😊
I'm impressed. I tried years ago and got bogged down in all the battle descriptions and gave it up.
I don't get much of a chance to read but right now I"m reading One Soul Many Lives by Brian Weiss. If you think reincarnation is bah humbug then this book isn't for you.
Read this years ago. I'm currently reading Journey of Souls by Michael Newton. Definitely believe reincarnation is real.

Well, guys, I am reading "Hell's Aquarium," after which I will abandon the Meg series entirely. I cannot read one more description of a person, whale or seal being ripped apart and eaten by a 60-foot shark after this. And I know it could hardly be a book about Megalodons without those scenes, I do get that, but I'm worn out with it all! HOWEVER...both "From Baghdad With Love" AND "Night Goblins" will be in this upcoming week, and I have FIVE Sweet Potato Queen books on the shelf. And just ordered some Nora Roberts books that will fill out three trilogies that I only had one book of. "Of which I only had one book," but hey, whose counting?

Mia6 Mia6 , I thought very hard about the free Kindle version, but...I think this might end up being a book I want to hug. Hugging a Kindle is just not the same. I'm a major book-hugger!

Yeah, that doesn't sound very pleasant, and reading, afterall, should generally be pleasurable, not horrifying.

That's why I've never read the Home | Warrior Cats | Warrior Cats books, as I've read there's some graphic descriptions of cat fights, which I don't have any interest in reading.

SO...DONE WITH IT! And will start reading "The Sweet Potato Queens Field Guide to Men (Every Man I Love Is Either Married, Gay or Dead)" and what's not to like about a book with that title???, as soon as I head to bed!

I'm reading The Afterlife Experiments by Gary E. Schwartz, Ph.D.
Breakthrough Scientific Evidence of Life After Death.

John Edward, Suzane Northrup, and George Anderson are just a few of the prominent American mediums who have been accused of being frauds. But what if a respected scientist challenged them to make contact with the beyond under controlled laboratory conditions? What if the results not only stunned a skeptical scientist but also offered astonshing answers to a timeless quesiton: Is there life after death?

I'm actually re-reading it, I read it many years ago. Very interesting book.

I'm reading several books.

Lord of the Rings - I'm halfway through, but I put it down to read library books that were on hold.
To Sleep in a Sea of Stars - Christopher Paolini - It's 850 pages of small print and it is only a two week loan, so I had to get to it. I'm enjoying it so far.
Junk DNA - Nessa Carey - Interesting book about the DNA that does not make protein, once called "Junk DNA," They are only now finding out the many functions it has. And I finally understand messenger RNA - the main component of the Covid vaccines!
I started Catch-22 and the first Virgil Flowers book by John Sandford, but I'm not sure it I will have time to finish them before they are due. It's tough when all your holds come up at once!

In the midst of working my way through the Elly Griffiths books (thank you, Winchester Winchester ) and a quick read of Fortune Funhouse (thank you, Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 ), I just finished John Preston’s The Dig. It’s a beautifully written story based on the discovery in 1939 of an Anglo-Saxon ship burial at Sutton Hoo in Suffolk, England. I watched the movie (with Ralph Fiennes) a few weeks ago and loved its quiet, unassuming story and gentle pace. The film was very true to the book.

Edit: Just to be clear, I didn’t watch the movie with Ralph. He wasn’t sitting next to me, unfortunately.
