No worries about quarantine with the kitties. Even when I had a serious bite by a cat some years back, the vaccine records were up to date and all was well. No redness in the wound! Yay!

I have had countless scratches in my lifetime of handling kitties. I have had my share of love nibbles and bites too. Some hurt and most never bothered me. This small wound really hurt more than it seemed it should. Very curious! Swelling but no sign of infection. It was in a place that doesn’t have thick tissue over bone but.... it just seemed weird to me. It finally occurred to me to look very close. A magnifying glass and a bit of prodding made things much clearer. I had a kitty thorn! I have never found a kitty thorn before. Once I removed the tiny piece of claw, I felt better! The swelling is going down now. I have soaked my hand and doused it with alcohol as well as putting the prescription antibiotic ointment on it again. The cats are still teaching me new things! Just thought I should share this TIP with everyone. Always look for kitty thorns!

I should be back to typing more very soon now.
All will be back to normal, when the kitties forgive me for giving flea meds.

I can tell that I still need to teach Prints a few things. Prints! Do this until she does something nice!

Enjoy some innocent fun. Destroy all her toilet paper!

Ahhhh. Ohhh! It’s really hard to make stink eyes when something feels so good! Brush me more hooman!

I guess I’ll keep the rest of my claws to myself. Hooman forgiven!

Prints. Your mom works hard to keep you healthy and safe. You too, Wanda Heart. She only gives you that stuff because she has to to keep nasty biters off of you. You do know about biters, don't you? You know about thorns, I see.

I just felt bad that I had to put that stuff on them and they don’t understand that I do it to help them. Fortunately, kitties are always very forgiving and loving.

The thing about beautiful roses, sometimes we find a thorn but that doesn’t make them any less beautiful or precious. They are all my furry roses. Best garden ever!

Can we really have a conversation with a cat? To some extent we can read each other’s body language and certain sounds, tones or emotions. However, I find that cats seem to give a little extra to the imagination. So, another story from Banjo.

CommuniCATing with cats? Well, can't speak for anyone else but since I was born "with cat" I sometimes think it's easier to communiCATe with them than it is with hoomanz! Elvis almost always joins me for breakfast and we have long convos. I talk, he purrs and kneads and rubs. Cats aren't vocal by nature so their body language is how they talk among one another. I think a lot of us here understand the knead and the rub, not to mention the purr!

tabbytom That’s exactly how I feel being able to start using my hand again. Yay! Still stiff but getting there just in time for. St. Patrick’s Day smile.

dustydiamond1 Yes. Prayers for everyone in this storm path. I have been making calls. A tornado hit near someone I have talked about here but they are okay. We have many that need our prayers and support as they wait and watch. Sending hope that nothing else is hit. May all cats and humans be safe from harm now and throughout the storm. Temperature has dropped drastically here. Foggy. Power is going down in some places and I lost phone service earlier even though we are not fully in the storm yet. I hope we don’t lose power or anything else. Concerned about others. Hoping the storm dissipates, which is entirely possible.

tarasgirl06 real fast with Elvis! That sounds wonderful. I do think it is easier to communicat with cats in many instances. They are so tolerant of us hoomans! I love sitting down and watching the cats communicate. They can teach us so much that would be beneficial to us all.

I love seeing Banjo light up. The simple pleasure of just watching nature brings her great joy. Seeing a Wizard is a special treat. The magic of nature is always around us.

Banjo loves seeing all the little friends at her door. I had to remove the beginnings of a wasp nest there yesterday. I was worried a frog or lizard would get hurt but I managed to chase the wasps away. They can build their nest somewhere else. I have a feeling the green ones were happy to see them go!
No tornadoes here yet. There were some west of us. It’s getting to be that time of year.

This required lots of photos so the story will take more than one post! Lol It really was a day of green. We’ll start with the box and a happy Whistle!
