I should be removing as much water as possible from my dishwasher which gave up the ghost in the middle of a washing cycle. I don't want to move it out of the kitchen just yet - but I don't want it starting to smell foul either.
I know, the sooner I start, the sooner I'll be finished and the happier I will be!!! There's nothing to stop me, except.........😩

Do you have a Shop Vac or know someone who does? It would make quick work of the water.

Ha! It was far easier than I thought! First using a plastic cup I got most of the surplus water out. I then added some clean water to dilute the rather aggressive washing up water, used the cup again, followed by a soup ladle to get lower down . Finally I stuffed a few yards of surplus surgical wipes on a roll (past the use-by-date) into the depths of the machine and extracted most of the surplus water! I cleaned the gaskets and was finished within 20 minutes. I spent more time worrying about the problem and reading about how messy the job is, than actually getting on with the task. Not a drop of water landed on the floor. Why am I such a worrier and procrastinator?
So now I'm back on TCS and should be answering emails from friends and relations! But, I don't know what to say, as they are not cat-lovers!!! :)

That happens to me a lot. Worry about something that turns out to be nothing and is over quickly.

Getting the day started. I'm still in my PJs sucking back coffee. I did start some laundry, and put dinner in the crock pot....but those are cop out chores...the appliances do all the work! LOL!

Probably working but it's slow so don't really have anything else to do.
