Hi, I castrated my cat last Wednesday, the first 2 days he had cone on his neck to not lick himself, but then it was off. Today I noticed one of his ex-balls had a bit of / trigger warning for the faint of heart / meat coming out. It was pink and red, though no blood / fluids coming out of it. It's night and I'll call the vet in the morning but I wonder what to do till then. So far I've put the same medication I've put during the first 2 days as vet told me to do, it's an antibacterial.

Has this happened to any of your cats?

It's normal for them to lick but just make sure it's not excessive licking and he does not nibble on the surgery site. Make sure the site is dry but it;'s just 2 days, it'll still be swollen and reddish and may bleed a little which will subside as the days past.

Also keep watch on it that it is not bleeding badly over the days and keep it dry and check that it's not oozing pus or have a stench as this spells an infection which you must immediately bring your boy back to the vet ASAP.

Thank you for the response, just came back from the vet, apparently I was just paranoid, everything is good.

It's good just to keep a close watch during this period till the swell subsides and incision closed properly and fur will grow back in a couple of weeks and you'll notice what's left is a flat sack.
