J's got a few shots today. I'm trying not to be nervous because I don't want it to rub off on her, but I'm nervous. I know I'm going to hate hearing her cry and she was so fussy after her first hep b shot.

And my pediatrician spreads them out a bit, so I get to do it again when she's three months. :cringe:

:hugs: My kids were always over it before I was. I am good at not projecting my feelings and that helps DD especially! My mom and stepdad take it harder than I do/did. I always want to ask my stepdad how he managed with 4 kids! He took DD and I once when we were having car issues and it had been icy. Poor Papa. :lol2:

The nurse at our old pediatrician was so good with giving shots though. She was super quick. I think it helped a lot; especially after they changed the advice about giving tylenol first. Although I never asked the pediatrician specifically about that.

My kids didn’t always get fussy after shots. Sometimes more sleepy but not fussy. Going to the pediatrician could have just been big excitement too.

I just had a memory come up where DD kept pointing at an older boy and calling him a girl in the pediatrician waiting room. It said he was engrossed in a game and didn’t seem to notice; but at least she wasn’t calling him “baby” like everyone else. Sometimes that seems like yesterday and then I realize how long ago it actually was!

I’m so sorry.
That’s horrible. Praying for them. I can’t even imagine.
Thank you. It's still so unreal. I'm thinking of the last time I saw Matt wih his
beautiful little daughters. He and his wife were divorced and Matt and girls
were at Nicole's having dinner with us.

I am attempting to turn one of my favorite dinners into a crockpot meal. It has chicken, brussels sprouts, potatoes, bacon, lemon, garlic and balsamic vinegar in it and it's SUPER yummy. But the evenings tend to be busy so I am trying to turn it into something crock pot worthy. Hopefully it won't be dry. I added some liquid and fat to it. It smells good so far. But when we walked back inside the house kinda smelled like toots too.
