She is sleeping more than usual and drinking LOTS of water.. She’s eating normally but i don’t think she’s using the litter box as often as she used to. She just seems tired all the time:(

The incision looks really good.
Just keep an eye on it for any yellowish discharge, major redness or higher temperatures, and any larger openings.

How old is your cat?
And did the Vet put some sort of tape over the incision, to cover it?
(I don't think I've ever seen that before, since usually the skin will scab over faster if exposed to the air...but maybe that's something new that Vets are doing.)

She may be a little more tired, since it is major surgery, and depending upon the pain meds they gave her during the surgery, it may be wearing off.

I would leave it exposed to the air to dry out. If it gets any kind of discharge that is thick and yellow/green/white, or that redness spreads, call your vet and send a picture. It's a glued incision, and so far so good. I have never covered them though.

She’s 8 months. And yes the vet put a tape on the incision and said that is should fall off by it self in a few days. Thank you so much for replying! I’ll keep an eye on it as you said🥰

Hello R Rowmat ...just wondering how your kitten is doing, today?
How is her spay incision looking?
Did she return to her normal self, with her energy , playing levels,....eating, drinking, peeing and pooping?

Could we see a full photo of her,...if you have the time...and if you feel like it? (no pressure...only if you want to. We love photos, here. )

It’s been a hell of a week haha.. She did turn to her normal playful self and it’s hard to stop her from running and jumping around haha. She tries to lick the incision so the cone stays on. She doesn’t eat with it on so i remove it when i give her food and then chase after her to put it on again.. I checked her incision today and it seems open but i’m not sure:/ i don’t think she had time to bite the stitches but the incision doesn’t look like it’s healing. I’ll probably call the vet as soon as they open:(

Thank you for asking! It’s so stressful being emotionally attached to your cat and it this site makes it easier haha❤ Here’s my little Luna:

To me, her incision looks better than it did when you first posted.
It looks like it is drying out, and scabbing over.
You will find that a scab forms...then usually falls off...and then the incision site looks a bit more red...until another scab forms.
It looks very clean and no yellow discharge at all.

It's still good if you call your Vet, though,...and email them the photos, too,...when they open.
That way you get their professional opinion, ...plus it puts your worries to rest.

(I know you said you are in Sweden. So not sure if they do the spays similar to what they do here, in ontario, canada.
They usually have three rows...or layers of stitches. First the abdominal wall layer, then the subcutaneous layer...which is right under the skin layer,...then the last layer...skin layer is either stitched or closed with surgical glue.
(my cat's skin layer was closed with absorbable stitches...but nowadays...I've noticed that many cats get surgical glue closure...so maybe it depends upon the Vet...or the clinic...or new technique)

Your kitten looks like they used surgical glue... to close the final skin layer.

Your Luna looks adorable!
She's as white as the snow.
Is that a Swedish thing...that she actually likes the snow.❄ ☃ She looks so relaxed, laying there. :cloud9:

She looks pretty happy on those feet, too.
That tongue is hilarious, ..and cute.

I cannot really tell what she's doing in that third photo?
Is that relaxed sleeping, ..stretching against the wall.... or doing cat yoga.
That one is both relaxing and funny, too.

Thanks for these photos. They are fantastic.

Has her energy level returned? If not, look through her paperwork and see if she was given a Convenia shot. This can sometimes cause lethargy in kitties. Also, she could have an upper respiratory infection brewing,so keep a watch on her eating and energy level.
