Hello! My kitten is about 10-12 weeks I'm not exactly sure since I rescued her, and she is now 1.1kg, except she has been gaining weight rapidly past 3 weeks, (she gained like 20-40 gram perday before) and then three days ago she reached 1.1kg but has been stuck on that weight ever since. Is this a problem or am I overthinking about this?

I feed her on commercial raw, she gets 100gr commercial raw each day and free feeding on boiled chicken. She will get her third deworming this weekend. Otherwise she's not lethargic at all, eating, pooping, and peeing normally. She looked and feel chonky to me that it gave me a sense of relief.

She sounds healthy, and by weight she is perfect for a ten-week old kitten. However, kittens grow quickly, especially the first year, and need more food as they grow. You may want to supplement her with an egg mixed into her commercial raw food, and give her a dish of full fat goats milk each day. She needs a meal 4-6 times a day right now.

Does the commercial raw food provide taurine and other essential vitamins and minerals?

Also, kittens plateau occasionally and then get another growth spurt. She may have just grown a bit and her weight will catch up if she’s eating enough.

Is the raw completely balanced for all life stages? That is very important, so no ratio diets for kittens. And do not limit her at all, just feed her as much as she wants. I found on raw its extremely hard for kittens to keep weight on them so feed her 4-5 times a day until she's full. You can give some goats milk in her raw as well for extra fat content.

Also stop with free feeding boiled chicken, that is a treat and should only be 10% of her diet only or else you will throw off the balance of her diet.

I just came back to the site! but after I posted this a day later she gained her weight back x'D I think she does plateu and then get her growth spurts back lol, the raw already has egg added on it! and yes it's a balanced commercial raw diet ^^

I feed her commercial complete balance raw diet :3 I feed her 4 times a day. I'm still reseasrching on good raw goats milk on my country, so I haven't been able to get that.
sorry to clear things up, I didn't only free feed boiled chicken, but also with the heart, liver, and secreting organs, by PMR percentage, with the broth to make sure as little nutrients loss as possible, I do this since I found my raw diet to be quite high in bone percentage (10%) so I make do with the cooked stuff. she actually didn't eat that much of the cooked stuff and her main meal(?) nutrients (?) came from the raw diet

10% is perfectly average bone content for PMR, so unless she’s having constipation issues from that amount of bone daily, I wouldn’t worry about it at all :>

she actually had constipation at first x'D that's why I added the cooked stuff :3
I read from perfectlyrawsome, that cats only need 6-8% bones on PMR so I decided to add cooked stuff to make do :D she's doing great now and gaining steadily~!

If she's doing well, keep at it!

80% muscle meat, 10% bone, 5% liver, and 5% other secreting organ is your standard PMR ratio, but it does depend on what your cat is used to. Your kitty could've been constipated because her digestive system was still getting used to the amount of bone mass. That said, if she's doing well on the ratio she's on now, no need to change things ^^
