We took in a pregnant cat. Its been 3 days and she's adjusting well. She comes out from hiding she interacts with people. But she has been attacking my male cat. Now, he doesn't bother her. He doesnt even go near her. In fact , he runs from her. Why would she attack him and is it normal?
Also, will my male cat hate me if I try to keep her until she has her babies?

Its pretty normal. If they arent best friends (as yet), she take the safe before the unsafe... Yeah, pretty normal. Just keep them apart.
Many even home girls, gets touchy when their time is coming, and defends their kittens literally with teeths and claws... Be it another cat, a dog or the familys child.

Your resident cat will adapt and copy. As said, do separate them. And be extra much cuddly to the resident too, so he understands you are still loving him much!
You can also try with calming relaxing music. And perhaps even some relaxing feromone, alike Feliway.

I do tx you for helping this homeless cat in days of her need....
Tx and hugs!

It’s her instinct to protect her unborn kittens from predators. She sees him as a predator. It’s normal, especially since she does not know him well yet.

Yes its normal even for nonpregnant cats to be honest. Most cats require slow proper introductions to new cats. Check out pam johnson bennet and Jackson galaxy for info on cat intros.
