Litter Robot?

Just wondering if anyone has a litter robot and how they feel about it. Has your kitty ever had diarrhea in it? That is definitely one of my concerns about it. Also I have four cats, I know that one litter robot is nowhere near enough for them. Does anyone have multiple cats with a litter robot? Multiple litter robots? Any suggestions on training? I believe I am going to purchase tomorrow and I just would like more ideas of what I’m getting into.

I hope another member replies to your thread who has used this product. My friend used one of those, but decided to go back to the old kitty litter box because her cat got sick and she didn't realize until he was sick for days. He had diarrhea, but was not throwing up.

I would not buy this product because I want to know the health of my kitties and usually what you see in the litter box gives you a heads up of potential health problems. Sometimes as inconvenient and gross as it is, the old way is best- IMO. 🙂

I 100% agree. While it may be a pain, it's one of the easiest ways to check on the health of your cats. If I had a litter robot, I never would have known that one of my girls had inflammation in her bladder. There was a tiny drop of blood in her urine and a litter robot would have completed scooped that away.

I love the pics where they show how it can be a piece of furniture. No, I do not have one and would not get one for the above reasons. If I had one, I would never have known that Fiona herself was suffering from bladder stones and needed surgery, might never have caught the original bladder infections.

I am not criticizing your decision to get one. However, I wonder what the percentage is of cats who won't get into it. Make sure it can be returned.

There were health scares and serious health issues with my cats over the years that were discovered by either abnormal bladder and bm's or lack thereof. Sorry I have been through too much with my kitties and that is why I don't own a robot litter box. You have been through it too, so you know as well. I hope your kitty is doing much better today. Thanks for sharing.
