I got in a bit of a “dance workout” tonight, although I don’t think you could technically call it dancing  More like moving around and jumping, but hey, it got my heart rate up and I broke a sweat, so I’ll take it!💃🏻

Sunny. No wind. Temp: 4C / 39F
So I went out for a walk. 31 minutes. Even stopped to say hello to the ducks.
39 degrees is sunny?! Spoken like a true Canadian. I am part Canadian actually, did you know my Grandma was from there? And I am distantly related to Celine Dion on the other side.

With no wind, and dressed for winter, with hat, gloves, boots and winter coat, it wasn't that bad. And you could feel the warmth from the sun when it shone on you. I truly hate the cold, so was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.

That's cool that you have Canadian roots, especially related to Celine Dion. Did you have any of her music DNA? :musicnote:

90 minutes of yoga this morning, followed by 30 minutes of clearing snow. Yes, it finally started snowing! After that I walked for about an hour. It was pretty hard going in the soft, powdery snow, but I wanted to try out my new hiking boots. I was actually a little too warm in a ski jacket, fleece, woolly hat and a double thickness mask.

It's supposed to be sunny for the rest of the week, so the snow won't last long.

No walk today. Damp and wet out. Maybe tomorrow.

But you have ducks! I miss the ducks, I live so far from the lake now.
I do enjoy the ducks. But, again, some of the pics near where you live are simply beautiful.

I went horse riding yesterday and ended up with a black eye. More details and pictures to come.....
Oh no !!! Hope you're ok. 🤗

Finally hit 30 minutes on the rower today and didn’t feel tired afterwards.
Isn't it a great feeling when you start to notice the effects of your working out. :)

I haven't walked for 2 days now. :(
And the temps are going to be below freezing most of next week, so I might have to resort to inside walking for a bit. :walk:

in and out of rooms and up and down the basement stairs. So pretty boring. I need your Dad to make me a music playlist.
Yay! Same as me...Yes, he would make you one for sure, he's really good at that stuff, I think he actually enjoys making them. I want to try Madonna on Monday. Lynyrd Skynyrd was good, but I didn't know any of the words, so couldn't sing along.

I'm OK, thanks. We had rather an eventful ride. We went riding in the snow last year and it was all soft and fluffy, but on Friday the snow was a few days old, so had frozen and then thawed a couple of times. It was really slippery in places.

First thing that happened was Mitsunosuke managed to snag his reins on a branch and the bridle came apart. This made him jump and for a split second I thought. "Darn! No reins and he's about to bolt across the ice!" But luckily he stopped after two strides and we were able to reattach the reins.

Then as we were walking through the long grass a couple of pheasants shot out in front of us and all three ponies went
:running::running::running:

Next thing was Mr Husband's pony slipped on some ice and nearly did the splits. Then Mitsu tried to grab some leaves off a branch and when he let go it sprung back and whacked me in the face. My eye was red and swollen yesterday, but some cold teabags seem to have done the trick.

We had a couple of very careful canters, but just walked most of the time. It was very pretty out though.

Not the best picture of her, but this is Mitsu's little sister. She's only 2 years old and is getting used to being handled. She'll start learning how to be lunged this summer, then they'll start riding her when she's around 3 or 4.

So 90 minutes horse riding and an hour of yoga on Friday, 45 minutes of yoga Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully I'll have time for a walk again tomorrow.

Glad no one was seriously hurt during your riding adventure, Norachan Norachan . Beautiful pictures, as usual.

I ended up doing a 15 minute inside walk around the house yesterday. Would have done a 2nd one later on, but need to find something better than my slippers to wear, or I'm going to injure myself by tripping up or down the stairs. I think I'll just dig out my summer sneakers, clean the soles, then wear them. 👟

My inside walk was less boring than I expected, as Miss Ruby followed me up and down the stairs, and all around the house several times. I told her it was great she was getting some exercise. :winkcat: I think she was just trying to tell me it was time to feed her. :catman:
