Hello people

I'm a new cat mom - of 3 days. TBH I didn't really think I would be a cat person (we always had dogs when I was growing up) but well, this kitty took one look at me and decided I was potential mom material.

I found her dirty and neglected on my morning walk, waited to see if there was a mom nearby but the little one had already decided to follow me home.

I had literally nothing planned when he came in, and I'm learning (a LOT) on the fly. He's already adorable - despite mites, fleas, and lack of food (and fur!)

Thank you for rescuing Uno! Maybe you'll have a Dos soon 😁

Thank you all for the support .... he's a very sweet and really rather tame kitty considering I found him outdoors ... no feral behaviour at all ....is this normal?

He WAS extremely dirty, clearly neglected which is what made me believe that he had no caregiver (human or cat) ... but .... I'm almost surprised at how easy he is?

All of my cats except Graham were also rescued from the streets, but surprisingly tame. So its quite normal. Or could be your cat had a previous owner too.

Ok good to know he’s not an anomaly... I’m just gonna assume I got seriously lucky with the easy tempered cat

"Cats are like chips, you can't have just one" - Someone wise, probably.

When I first got Uno in January....

Someone rightly commented about how there might be a Dos soon. :D

I didn't think I could handle two cats living alone, but ... ummm ... here we are.:flail:

Meet ... Dos (or Bandit, that's his actual name). Also a rescue, was fostered by a kind lady who found him with his mom in her apartment parking area. The mom lost interest in him once she got pregnant again (she's neutered now, whew!) and poor bandit seemed to have been left to fend for himself. I snapped him up the moment I saw the foster mom post about him on a facebook forum, and a month later, he and Uno are chasing each other around my apartment. It's exhausting to watch, but I'm very grateful they have each other to play and get rid of all the energy!
