My positive is I just had some of my Aldi sharp cheese ball for lunch. But I need instructions. Am I supposed to spread this on crackers with a knife or just leave it in chunks? It's much harder than I thought it would be. I was able to cut it with a knife. I am able to spread it if I push hard enough with the knife. I was expecting it to be like a spreadable dip, but it's harder. Tastes good though!

Assuming there's almonds in it, it will be a bit harder, but we left ours out of the fridge for 10-15 minutes before putting it on crackers so it would soften up a bit.

So you spread it on the crackers with a knife? Yes, there are almond pieces in it.

My positive is I woke up before sunrise so decided to work out early then run two quick errands. One of them was at the P.O. to mail my daughter's birthday gift and I didn't know how busy it would be after the holiday. I lucked out, only one person in line ahead of me but by the time I left there was a much longer line.

DS's missing Christmas gift (ordered and shipped 11/28) arrived today.

The kids and I also took a nice walk on the trail we were walking regularly last winter. We found new trees down. One we used to step over was pretty well disintegrated. The heavy rains we've had have changed the trail a good bit. There were new runoffs and wet areas holding water. It looks like they came in and tried to reinforce some of the banks with sand but the water was definitely deeper than it used to be and moving quickly. It hasn't rained in days either! I think the creek itself is a bit wider than before. The side trail is mostly used by people going to fish but I think they are going to have to widen it if the brook takes over any more than it has. (The woods are full of these thorny green plant things that vine up trees. So you can't just walk on the sides.) It's very neat to see the changes over time.

Thanks for the cheese ball instructions everyone. It takes a village.

My positive is I just ordered some samples from Nuts.com. I didn't get any nuts, but I got a bunch of different dried fruits, granola, and other snacks. I just love sample sizes, I wish more places would sell them.

Huh. Nobody had any positives in the last 24 hours? 😲

My positive is my friend introduced me to a whole new genre of music I never listened to before. It's called "Punk". What do you guys think of it? My generation never really listened to it, besides Nirvana, and my brothers never played it. It seems interesting, but a little angry. My friend really likes the Ramones. It's fun to have something new to listen to and discover. :musicnote::musicnote::musicnote:

Sorry yesterday was a busy one for me since there was a snow/freezing rain warning so I wanted to get a big shopping done and any last minute errands. My positive was I stopped to get a 16 oz. latte sprinkled with cinnamon. I knew I would need the caffeine, or at least that was my excuse.

Today I got a nice surprise from a doctor I keep in touch with who moved to another state approx. 10 years ago. He's one of the few letter writers I know and has a great sense of humor. He reminds me a lot of the tv show character, Dr. Marcus Welby. 👨‍⚕️

I took a nap with my Mom's cat yesterday. That was positive. I remember her other cat walking over us.

The septic company called and said they got the permit from the state so the next step (after a downpayment I suppose) is scheduling installing our new one! :woohoo: They gave DH a verbal quote but haven't e-mailed the actual one to him yet. I very much appreciate being able to shower at my mother's and do our laundry there. But I am SO ready to get back to normal. The sooner the better! Mom got me a rolling case to put all our books and manuals in for Christmas. She thinks it'll be easier than carrying my 2 big canvas totes.

Yes I'm pretty over it. I can't imagine what we've done my parent's water bill! It's only 2 showers for the kids and I a week but 3-5 loads of laundry when it's normally just 2 of them. It's been 7 weeks now! And they said at the latest it might be early February before they get us in. They are trying to fit us in asap though. (I've been showering "military style" at least once a week at home too but that is NOT ENOUGH!! :cringe::bawling2::paperbag::paranoid:) It's going to be amazing to shower daily and run the dishwasher! :cloud9:
