Hi, hope I'm still in time for Saturday in some parts of the world.

:runaround:

Do you like to sing? Are you any good at it? Do you sing in a group, at karaoke or just sing along with the music when there's no one around to hear you?

I'm a terrible singer, but I do enjoy singing along with songs. I've been to karaoke a few times. It's much more fun if you've had a few drinks beforehand. Probably a lot less painful for anyone who has to hear me too.

I can’t really sing but I like to. Fortunately my daughter enjoyed it and now the cats do too. Each cat has their own song that I use to calm them. Our poor vet! Lol Everyone there has heard ,and now learned ,each kitty song. They also sing to the kitties when I take them in for anything. It seems that singing makes other want to join in. Or maybe they are just trying to drown out my voice! Lol

I have a decent voice and sing with great enthusiasm, but I have trouble carrying the tune without lots of practice! I have sung in choruses, choirs and bands. I sing to my cats, certainly. I'm not sure they enjoy it so much as tolerate it.
And I enjoy singing along, often singing the harmonies of the music I listen to on the stereo.

I can sing, and like to sing, but not in front of people. There have been a very few select times that I have sung in front of others but I have serious stage fright so would never do karaoke or perform. I don't know what it is but singing when others can hear me (in my real singing voice) makes me feel super vulnerable, and I don't like it. And I say "in my real singing voice", because if I have to sing happy birthday or sometimes when trying to describe a song to someone, I don't use my real voice....if that makes sense....I just talk with a tune...

I couldn't carry a tune in a number 2 wash tub.
That is my problem too. I stink. Even after almost 44 years, my husband has never heard me sing! The only place I sing is in the car when I am by myself, along with the radio. If I could have one talent it would be singing. Music moves me more than just about anything else.

I love to sing. I have an accepteable voice now and had a really good one when I was younger. Age changes things. But I have disabling stage fright so never sang in public alone, only in groups.
Once the pandemic has passed I want to take some voice lessons.

My grandmother--my mom's mom--had perfect pitch. She sang and played a variety of instruments. My mom majored in voice in college and also played a variety of instruments. In fact, my mom sang like she breathed--unconsciously. When I was growing up, she'd be singing in the other room and I'd come in and ask her what she was singing. She'd say, "I was singing?"

And then there's me. Mom made me take voice lessons when I was a kid, but my voice is thin and reedy. But I do sing around the house and in the car all the time even though I don't always hit the notes exactly. And like my mom, I don't always realize I'm singing. What I can do is hear when someone is singing off key or misses a note--perfect pitch hearing but not perfect pitch singing :). Like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I used to be able to sing - loved singing in choirs. But my voice has gone ....... just vanished. 😿 Even my speaking voice sounds as if I have a heavy cold. Perhaps too many presentations, talking to large audiences have worn out my vocal chords.
Now I can only croak but I sing ....... silently to myself, even hitting the high notes:bliss:and dancing when no-one's around. Some people still think I can sing - if only they knew.
