whats on mind is this chilly weather outside that is not fit for man or beast ! its 33 degrees and was snowing earlier this morning ... i dont like winter time that much
I agree - ice on the pond for the first time this year - and frozen rain forecast for tomorrow morning. I die a thousand deaths when i think about my two grandsons travelling to school and work respectively on motorbike and in an old car. Fog, black ice on a dark morning and again travelling home in the evening. God help them and the rest of the youngsters on the roads. The longer term forecast promises warmer weather next week. :agree:

This metaphor is great. The poet in me was like, yeeeeeeeeees, when reading this.

I'm with W Willowy that I'm enjoying the cool weather. With my buzzed head and heading outside today to take out trash and get the mail with just a sweatshirt, long gym shorts, and socks, the brisk air sunk through to my bones, but it was oh so refreshing. It was probably in the 30's and I had no idea it was that cold! Surprise!

My mom got me an automatic feeder so the cats won't go 12 hours between feedings while I am at work. I don't think it will work as they aren't really out and about during the day looking for food.

They have adapted to whenever I feed them. They know they won't get any wet food until I am home and even on the weekends, there is no set time they feel that they need to eat breakfast. Sometimes I feed them as soon as I get up and sometimes it's not for an hour or so afterwards.

Plus it makes no noise when opening so they would have no idea there is food available since they pretty much stay in my youngest's room all day. It's looking like a regifting gift at this point.

strider rose strider rose Safe travels and procedures

Think I need to make a schedule for my days. Need to make sure to go on walks everyday and since finding it is nicer to walk later in the day as opposed to after feeding the cats breakfast, it is challenging to get out. But it is much quieter in the park then as I was walking during rush hour previously. At least I think that is what influences it.

Nope. You need some Guinness Extra Stout too...Did you get Red Wine?
Well, I'll have to go somewhere for pizza later anyway, so...Red for sure. Not a fan despite spending most of my life along the Mediterranean though. Always liked white and beer better.

What about you and yous? What do you like to drink for fun or with food? Non-alcoholic is fine. Just being curious.

LOL, I actually thought, "WHAT, HUH?" for just a minute until I remembered your hair cut!

Alas, mostly unsweetened tea since the diabetes was diagnosed. Took me a minute to get used to it. Southerners love our sweet tea.
However, I do go through TWO WHOLE BOTTLES of blackberry Merlot every year! And an occasional ginger ale or coke here and there. Nowhere nearly once a week.

I drink coffee with milk and sugar (decaf for now), a ton of flavored water, hot chocolate, hot tea with honey.

I like my alcoholic drinks sweet, but not tropical (I don't like pineapple or coconut). Moscato is my wine of choice, and I take cider if I'm going more casual. I don't like beer at all. I bought a non alcoholic cider and rose to make myself feel better (they were on sale, too). I'm not a huge drinker, but I'm looking forward to being able to have one again sometime next month.
