Looks yummy! 😍

Is anyone else suffering from quarantine acne?
I never stopped suffering from puberty acne. I’ve done prescription meds multiple times and been a Proactiv user for decades. :rolleyes2:

Right now though I’m using a charcoal bar I got on Amazon. My friend has a lot of allergies and said this soap has been a winner for her. She said she’s seen scars fade and her skin allergies calm. My DS is using it to wash his hands. (I cut it into small pieces.) He gets awful eczema between his fingers and on his palms! Water is a trigger and many soaps make it worse. So I’m praying this helps. It’s supposed to help super oily skin be less oily too.

Turkey gravy stock is simmering in the stove so the whole house smells like Thanksgiving. But my mind is on how to keep everyone (mom, sister, brother in law and son) safe while we gather and eat. It is such a risk but I don’t know how many Thanksgivings my mom has left and this will be the first holiday for my sister since her 40 year old son died last winter. Getting together feels right but still it is stressful as well.

Teacher told me to tell him that we are working on our own from now on and he extended the deadline for me for this weekend instead of tomorrow.
Ugh, how frustrating. :angryfire: Relieved a bit your teacher said you can complete it on your own instead not giving you the option and extending the deadline. When taking a summer class a couple years ago, I had a group project with 5 people, another girl and I communicated and put effort into it, three others procrastinated, etc. On the day of the presentation, one of the procrastinating girls had a surgery scheduled, but did not tell everyone that she was not going to be there. It was a surprise, and someone had to pick up her material to present. After presenting, the teacher announced we would be rating our group members and that would impact individual grades.

M maggiedemi Literally just ate lunch, but those brioche bread pictures are making me want to eat more. What do you search to find all these goodies?

My mom is starting some of the Thanksgiving food today, too. She finished the sweet potato casserole and said I could eat some. (I did with lunch!) Turkey and desert key lime truffles also being made today. Tomorrow the rest will be cooked and my brothers will pick up their food portions early afternoon to eat at their own houses.

Started watching Jingle Jangle a Christmas story. Really enjoying it so far! Haven't really watched many holiday movies/shows, but this is the third one. Also watched Dash&Lily, which was super cute, funny, and heart warming.

We are in prep mode here. I’ll be making 2 apple and 2 pumpkin pies once I finish decluttering the kitchen and school space. If I had more time I might make yeast rolls. It’s been ages since I have and they are so good!

My kids have a Christmas music station on Pandora playing in the living room while they clean. I keep popping in there to help them rearrange furniture and dust hard to reach places. We should be ready to put out tree up tomorrow night or Friday. DH has to get everything from the attic. The rest of the house will come after. My whole kitchen is done up for fall so that has to come down first.

Looking at a new apartment tomorrow, wish me luck.

(The guy said it was fine for me to bring the cat, I hope he doesn't expect me to bring the cat to the viewing 🤔. I know it's a stupid question, but some people are weird).
It was the most awesome apartment I've ever seen in person, and of course I didn't get it.

Pretty sure I had a good chance, but didn't get it because I couldn't move in soon enough. The guy had been bombarded with interessees. Oh well.

I do all kinds of searches, like cinnamon, vanilla, brioche, peppermint, peanut butter, bagels, bread, chips, crackers, cheese. I find all kinds of interesting things! Then I keep a list of the ones I want to try.

If I had more time I might make yeast rolls.
Maybe I will try different types of rolls next. That could be fun. I saw some big croissants that would make nice sandwiches I bet.

If this virus crap keeps up well past new year, I might pack the cat and bags and stay in Spain until the fall. I really miss my mom (in Spain) and the people that live here seems to have forgotten I exist. Also really fed up with it being so dark and rainy all the time and I feel like there's mold all over my apartment. Blah.😐. Rant over.

OMG, same here! My friends & family on Facebook have gone totally silent! I don't know if it's stress over Corona, politics, or they just hate me. I've never seen anything like it. Complete silence. Even my former classmates that used to crack funny jokes every morning, have gone silent.

We have a "family group" on messenger everyone used to be pretty active on, but appart from some jokes on Halloween, it's been dead the entire fall. Really weird. People don't even ask for favours anymore.

Yes! It's kind of comforting to know that I'm not the only one. Maybe everybody is just stressed out? I sure wish they would make more of an effort though. I really need them right now.

I have been much quieter in Facebook because of the election and covid drama. I don’t think I am the only one.
That explains it then. I thought it was just me, but everybody couldn't be mad at me at the same time! I tried every subject, but nobody seems to want to chat. Makes me not even want to go on Facebook, I come here instead.

No I don’t think it’s you. I did mute a lot of people for 30 days for being dramatic, fearmongering or just being hateful. But I didn’t really post anything political, covid, etc and I’m getting less response too. I feel that protecting your own mental health right now is vitally important. Being engrossed in news/fakenews/oppinionnews is not healthy. So if I did say something and another person felt they needed to see less of me for their own sake; that’s fine. I’ve heard some friends have left Facebook for other outlets too.

Lol, glad I could help.

I guess things generally suck for most people these days, but I also think it's fine to feel sorry for yourself once in a while.

I get way more responses on my weekly pregnancy updates on facebook than I ever really expected! I think people like having something positive to see.

Look at this odd item. Potato Salad in a can! I never heard of that before. I might buy it just to see what it's like:

That is probably the first thing you've posted these past few days that has not made my mouth water at all!
