So, like a lot of these people here, my all black kitty was an abandoned stray, but she wasn't abandoned by people. Her mom was a stray, but took off from her litter when little girls found her, not knowing momma cat had babies. Anyways, Wednesday is my kitty's name, and she's starting to get just grey everywhere. It started with her left side, then her right, and now her back and belly as well. Any insight is greatly appreciated. The attached picture was just taken before writing this last sentence.

I would say her adult coat is starting to grow in, it could be a fever coat also, though they are usually grey mixed with black. Make sure to feed her often and as much as she wants up to a year old, kittens go through tremendous amounts of energy going through all theses changes! She is beautiful!

Thank you, Di. She's open fed, meaning we fill her bowls full of food and water and she gets it whenever she wants. When we first got her she was very malnourished so we want to make sure she eats enough and as much as she wants. She's a very spoiled girl already for how young she is. 😂

Hi There,I have a small black kitten, now a young cat, approx. 1 year and He, "Marky", is turning grey on the back of His neck,it started with a few hairs an now it seems he has more than a few.I was thinking it might be because His older brother `` Matty`` is biting Him on the back of the neck and trying to pull Him around, very strange.Im not sure if You re cat has an older sibling or if the mother might have carried Her like that, but that might be the cause.
