I don't even use my real name on Facebook and I don't put up photos of myself. Facebook also made it so that you cannot screenshot peoples dating profiles because it violates their privacy. We are going into lock down again and I really just felt like I needed people to talk to. Don't have many friends in the program or otherwise. Seriously lacking human interaction.
I just downloaded Bumble the other day because hoping to find some more people to talk to on the phone or video chats. Hoping to find more people to chat with as many of my good friends are busy at times and don't want to overwhelm them with requests to chat multiple times a week... and miss talking and interacting with people daily. You can set it for dating or looking for a friend. I cannot speak for how it is and the quality of people, but it is one of the ones where both people have to swipe before you can message someone. You do have to upload at least 1 photo with your face to make a profile. Thought it looked neat to try. Once there is a match, a message has to be sent by one of the two people within 24 hours before they disappear as a match.

What is the facebook setup like? Did not even know this is a feature they have. Where do you find the option?

I think I tried bumble once but not for long. Might get back into it. I totally understand how you feel. I don't want to overwhelm my friends but I'm also a social person and I get bored very easily.

It's on the mobile app. I tried to see if it was on desktop but couldn't find it there. The way I found it was facebook kept advertising it to me and I clicked on it and was lead through a process of setting up my profile.

I got so many matches immediately. Even with no photo. A lot of people on there are also just looking for friends. It's only been a few days so I'm keeping my expectations low so that I don't get disappointed if things don't work out.

Just watched this. I had no idea Christmas tree water was toxic to cats. I have never had a cat not drink the water and they were always fine. Not sure if they ever ate pine needles but I never had to take them to the vet to have one removed. I did have cats climb the tree and topple it over. Pretty sure this will be daily with Gracie. God help me if Boone tries because the boy is 12 lbs. Most definitely going to fall if he climbs it. At least Gracie is only 8 lbs but is a skinny mini.

My parents are considering getting a new puppy. Mom says she's partial to English sheepdogs, but they've also been watching a lot of videos about Yorkies.
Do they mean an English Shepherd, or an Old English Sheepdog, with all the hair? I can't imagine doing that much grooming, lol. They are cute though. Big and hyper as puppies too.

Oy. At least she’s researching so if she does; she knows what she’s getting into with grooming. I really want a golden retriever (actually 2...) and everyone responds with “but their hairy!” I’m aware of that. So are some people right? 😜 They are still awesome dogs.

My grandma is 102 today. She’s not much for talking on the phone anymore but I’ve sent a card from DH and I and one from our kids with drawings for her. My dad just had his appendix out yesterday so I don’t know that he will see her either. We had a huge bash for her 100th birthday a few years ago. Since I couldn’t go visit her this year the pictures are making me extra misty.

That's amazing of your grandma! My last grandma would have been 100 in September, but died back in April. She was so close!

I play a couple of video games and have people from CA, NM. CO. TN, VA and even England. I currently have an entire tribe in Molokai that are my everyday friends. I can chat with any of them at almost anytime. The only problem is the time zones.
But it's rather nice to have them whenever I need to chat with someone. We don't just talk games.

I knew dogs shouldn't drink it, but you rarely read about these things with cats when you're not on a cat forum. Thanks for posting.

She said she remembered one from an old show called Nanny and the Professor. Anyone know that show?
If you Google Nanny and the Professor dog, the dog in the pictures looks like a Bearded Collie.

Edit: You know what, that might be an Old English Sheepdog instead. It's either a Bearded Collie or Old English Sheepdog. Lots of hair either way.

What video games? Most of the ones I've played in the past are single player, although Maplestory was an online one with other players present.
