I may not be on tomorrow. I have appointments and may be tied up pretty late. I’ll get back as soon as I can.
Good luck with your appointments. 🤗🤗🤗

In the meantime, did anyone else see stars?
No. Too much light pollution, not to mention it was cold last night. :cold:

M maggiedemi I laugh every time you say ,”face plant!” I imagine a garden of faces.
N NY cat man A green tailed comet must have been gorgeous! If you only get one.... that was the one to see!

rubysmama rubysmama Thank you. The vet will call tomorrow.
It was cold here too! I wrapped up in blankets. Lol I kind of like wrapping up and spending some time watching. There is some light pollution here too but I can still find a dark spot.
Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 That picture was right on! Sherbie Pawpurr demonstrates on my arm!

Thank you to everyone. Smokey went for tests today. We don’t have the results yet.

When I came home I got a frantic call from the neighbor. He had been at the doctor all day and when he returned, Sherbet Pawpurr dashed out. He was very upset and was out on the dark calling her. I sent him back inside and went over. Within a few minutes she answered me and walked right up. Lol I had meat baby food ready for her. I shook a container of treats too. She let me pick her up but bolted when the neighbor opened the door. Really scared her. Ugh. I got some dents. I made the neighbor leave the door open and go back to his hallway. It took a few more minutes and a trail of treats but she came out and followed me back to his door. I put the baby food in and she ate. I closed the door and left. I left them with some catnip for the evening. I think she was very upset at being left all day. Poor baby probably thought she was being abandoned again. She was rolling on catnip the last I heard and the neighbor was laughing. He had never seen a cat with catnip before. Totally amazed at her pleasure.
At the vet. Smokey was fine as long as I kept brushing her. Lol

Spoiler alert! Cat dents below! Not a bite but a scratch. She launched off of my arm when she got scared.
Going for the antibiotic ointment the doc gave me for occasions like this. Lol Just a couple marks more among many.
We have more things coming up tomorrow. I will be here if I can. Sending thanks, purrs and :redheartpump: to everyone.

Oh my! So sorry you got those cat dents. Do go to the doctor and get put on antibiotics. Don't take any chances. I got bitten and scratched up by my sister's cat while rubbing her belly (she was okay and then got spooked by a noise which made her bite my forearm hard and grab my arm and kick scratch me with her back paws). It was a bloody mess and I didn't go to the doc to get antibiotics, instead I took Garlic pills (natural antibiotic) and cleaned the wounds and put Neosporin on it. My sister's cat gave me Cat Scratch Fever. 🙀 I was sick for a couple days and then a huge welt developed on my forearm and I went to the doc after that for antibiotics. It cleared up not too long after that. I am rarely sick, but C.S.F threw me for a loop. Take no chances.😧

Ummmm....Different kind of plant.

Must be nice! Were they straight from the dryer warm? Someday...;)

What a coincidence. Demi gave Dad some dents today on his arm. He asked me- "Can't your cat rescue friend (meaning you!) help train him?!" 😲

BellaGooch BellaGooch Thank you! Themarks are already better.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Thank you! It looked worse than it felt. Poor kitty was just scared. As I sure you understand, my main concern was getting her calmed down and back where she was safe. It all turned out okay.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Thank you! So sorry you got the fever! Awful! My doctor knows that I work with cats. His PA does too. He gives my a steady prescription for an antibiotic ointment to have on hand for things like this ever since I got a bad bite during a hurricane. It has worked well so far. You might want to ask about such a thing for yourself. I always flush the wounds with alcohol immediately. That’s the big ouch! Lol

N NY cat man A suit of armor! :flail:That would be handy in this neighborhood! I would get quite a reputation wearing that!

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose I do have some super think leather gloves. I just didn’t have them on me. I wasn’t expecting a problem since I had already been handling her. Boo boos happen.

tabbytom tabbytom Unlike armor or gloves, I wear a cat suit everyday. It’s built into all the laundry. I use it as a fabric softener. A little Banjo, a little Bonjure, a little BJ, a little Smokey, etc. .... suit of many colors! I just keep wondering if a neighbor dog will try and chase me up a tree someday. ;)

M maggiedemi The blankets weren’t straight from the dryer but that would have been a great idea! Although...... that raccoon might have wanted to snuggle!

Demi! Don’t dent the Dad! Tell your Fad that I am very sorry he got dented and that we would love to get Demi in Chez Catbird boot camp for kitties. Send you and kitties! No guarantees there will never be a dent but.... we can have fun trying to help! ;) Let me know and I’ll warm up some blankets for you!

Remember the cat that I was worried about that got terribly injured? Pippa. The hopes, good wishes, vibes and prayers from everyone here helped her and her human. I got to see her and she ran to greet me. Her wounds have closed and her fur is growing back. Thank you to everyone for helping Pippa! :thanks::clap2::redheartpump: Another cat survivor!

Not everyone will know this face but this is one of the kittens I rescued back in the very beginning of helping this colony. He is all grown up and once in awhile, I get to see him. He never forgot me. His humans tells him I am Grandmother! Lol He also talks to me on the phone. This makes me very glad that I made the choice to help the kitties. Most of the time we don’t get to know if we made a difference in the kitty lives. For every rescuer, there are times that are hard but if we get an opportunity to see the rescues in a better place, better health, or with a family, we know we did the right thing. What we put in is little compared to what the kitties give back. Whether we are there to see it all or not. If a kitty purrs somewhere else does the world grow a little brighter? Yes. Yes.

Shakespeare! Grandmother is here!

BellaGooch BellaGooch Thank you. I am also grateful to everyone who helps kitties and grateful that the kitties let us into their lives. Nothing quite matches the love they show to those who care. Some humans help them by doing TNR, some by giving shelter, some by fostering, some by volunteering time at a shelter or donations and others by fostering or bringing them in as family and adopting. Each of us plays an important part in the chain of events. One can’t work without the others. I am just one small cog in the machine. TCS is made of kitty heros. It’s a bright place for kitties and humans. You are a kitty hero. I wouldn’t be here to share the purrs without you and everyone who has supported me here. So.... in a way, everyone helped to rescue Shakespeare. :grouphug: I think he knows that.
