I have read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books numerous times throughout the years. I have also seen the movies countless times.

My husband and I are big Lord of the Rings fans! We have a Rohan flag hanging outside and Gondor and Rohan banners in our theater room.

Without getting into the whole thing about it supposed to be one volume rather than a trilogy, I would have to say that my favorite is "Return of the King," for both the "book" and the movie. My husband prefers "The Two Towers." It is an ongoing quasi-argument for us. Haha!

My favorite book is The Two Towers and my favorite movie is The Fellowship of the Ring.
My favourite books would probably be The Fellowship of the Ring - more specifically Book II and The Return of the King - Book V.
As for the films, my all time favourite is The Fellowship of the Ring.
I absolutely love reading the Hobbit aswell. I wasn’t a fan of the films.

I remember feeling a bit disappointed when I first seen The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in theatres. I watched the other two at home instead of going to the movies. I haven’t watched them in a long time.

Has anyone read any of Tolkien's other books? I've read The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales. I also own The Fall of Gondolin, but I haven't read it yet.
