I saw and held a teeny tiny kitten!! It has been so long since I held or even saw one.

This baby was only 5 weeks old!! IMO, too young to be separated from his mother, and siblings..
But.... I am not in charge of this.. He was given to one of the tenants; who, in turn gave it to one of the college age 'runners' in here..

So cute.. such a gorgeous dark orange with darker swirls... I think it is a boy. I had to tell the girl that he needs a cuddle toy, Kitten wet food, even KMR, because he is so tiny.., a kitten litter box, and a soft warm towel or fleece to cuddle with.. I did not have a chance to tell her to keep him confined to the bathroom. I will see her tomorrow.

I have a couple of Geoffreys unused toys, which I will give her.

Poor little thing, would not let go of me.. He just cuddled on my left side, and clutched on for dear life. He must have smelt Geoffrey.. or felt so comfortable in my arms.. feeling my love..
Must have been so hard to let him go

I just ordered him a book for Christmas on Medieval times from Usborne.
I love Usborne books! They have one that takes Shakespeare and makes it understandable for kids. I was so happy to finally understand the words!

My positive is dad went to Walmart on a Corona exposure day, but it has been a week and he seems fine. The girl from my mom's church who delivers our Aldi orders also works at that Walmart, and she is in quarantine for 2 weeks. We touched all the food directly after she delivered it. But hopefully we will all be fine and not catch it. :crossfingers:

artiemom artiemom Must've been sweet to hold a kitten that young!

The cut is doing better..:yess:..I'm still propping it up and walking on the right side of my foot as the cut
is on the left near the arch.

It's going to be sunny but chilly today. I would love to get out for a walk but that will have to wait.
I have a few good books to read and DVDs to watch.

I just got a deal on 2 books from DS's favorite graphic novel series: Dog Man. (From the author of Captain Underpants.) :yess: Usually they are around $8 each; but I got both for just under $5. Now the question is: can I wait for Christmas to give them to him? He's been asking and I finally got him reading fiction. Maybe I'll give him one now and save others for Christmas. I don't have much self control with books myself; so it's hard!

Target also has a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale on the series DD is completely absorbed in (my favorite from that age) and that's a $15 savings!

They really make some great quality books! We have quite a few that we use for schooling. I almost signed up with them a few years ago because I really love kids books. DS never had patience to sit for stories when he was younger. But thanks to Usborne I discovered he loved non-fiction! :yess: I had befriended my first "book lady" on Facebook but she stopped selling. One of my friends recently started so it's given me an excuse to support her business. I ordered the kids a book that teaches coding with Scratch I think it's called. I'll be learning too.

I just made my 82 year old Mom's Christmas. Over 10 years ago, I got her a sweatshirt with all her grandkids' names on it. Over the years, it has become worn because she wears it so much. The company I got it from no longer sells it and I have never been able to find another one like it. Today... I found it!! I plan on surprising her with it for Christmas since we won't be able to make it there in person.

And carrying on the theme of good deals...

I went to pick up a prescription and it was going to cost $220! Yikes! I talked to my doctor’s wonderful nurse, and she told me about a site called GoodRx. She looked up the med for me and it will cost $28 with a coupon! :woo:

Not quite as exciting but still satisfying: I was searching for some sweats, the thinner kind for lounging. In the womenswear section, they were all $35 or more. So I wandered over to the men’s clothing and found a pair for $28 marked down 50%. Ha. $14. Take that, you rotten clothes manufacturers. The size small is a perfect fit. :)

Happy, happy, my rowing machine is finally in. I will pick it up tomorrow and this weekend my son will help me get it in the basement and assembled. Fortunately rowers are among the lightest of exercise equipment,
about 60 pounds so light enough that two can carry it in.

My positive is we picked up an order from Walmart today. Dad and I are doing another round of desserts. I found a new favorite. It was called Honey Bun, but it looks like a Cinnamon Roll. Not sure what the difference is. When we were kids, my brother used to call them Cow Pies! Because they look like a pile of cow crap out in the field, if you've ever seen one.

I remember Captain Underpants was a very popular book with our students, we would go through several copies p/year.

Augustus is now 82 lbs at 5 months and is enjoying his first winter.
Augustus is one handsome pup! :bluepaw: Mastiff's are such a loving and good natured breed.:heartshape:

I think we are almost done raking leaves. Yard waste ends Dec. 1 so we still have enough time to finish. :fallsmiley:

And... there is a snag in my plan. Got a message saying due to Covid, they don't have any XL sweatshirts. They are willing to send a 2XL for the same price but that might be too big for her. I might have to break the secret and ask her if she still wants it in the larger size.
