Where my coffee peeps at? I know you must have drank something exciting.

#1 Aldi Sumatra coffee with Aldi Pumpkin Spice creamer and 2Tsp Demerara sugar
#2 Aldi Sumatra coffee with Aldi Pumpkin Spice creamer and 1Tsp Demerara sugar
#3 Aldi Sumatra coffee with Aldi Pumpkin Spice creamer and 2Tsp Demerara sugar

I finished the Demerara sugar, so now I can start on the more exciting flavored sugars. My pumpkin spice creamer is almost gone! 16oz only lasted me a week.

I have been drinking a ton of coffee, instead of tea. I have been really groggy, up & out of the house, early.

It has been Trader Joe's Keurig cup with Califa Farms unsweetened almond milk.. occasionally I add some Turbinado sugar, Better thanks sugar...

May get a SB today. Have a 2pm meeting.. have to be awake, but not hyper.

#1 Aldi Sumatra coffee, Great Value vanilla powdered creamer, Turbinado sugar
#2 Aldi Sumatra coffee, Great Value vanilla powdered creamer, vanilla peppermint sugar
#3 Aldi Sumatra coffee, Great Value vanilla powdered creamer, vanilla peppermint sugar

I finished the Aldi Sumatra coffee! Not sure what I'm opening next. I have Great Value Sumatra, Folgers Sumatra, McCafe Columbian, and Dunkin Pumpkin Spice left.

The vanilla peppermint sugar was okay, but there are chunks of mint in it. I wish they would have used peppermint oil or extract instead of just grinding up the leaves.

I tried a Macchiato for the 1st time @ SB yesterday. I thought it would taste similar to a Cortado but it didn't so they made me a Flat White instead. I might like a Macchiato better if I tried it at the local roaster where I buy my coffee beans so I'll try it there next time. Starbucks is more convenient because they have so many locations and a drive-thru but the staff are not really true baristas.

We are low income and I save every penny on myself to save up for vet bills and the best cat food I can find sooooooo

in our condo mail room a food bank leaves some great stuff and lately its Starbucks Verona which is welll sorta good.
and sorta expired = older like me.
Sumatra I love and its HIGH OCTANE so u may become a Java overachiever with heart palps and shallow sleep.
Best coffee I ever had in 68 yrs was in Mexico in Puerta Vallarta and I brought 7 lbs home. Like the people there it was sweet, mellow, and out of this world. This was in 1986
Packed in red shiny bags...Modelo ? sumpthn like that and no luck finding it here. Our hotel served it.
earthy like Sumatra but even better and sad thing is....I cant find it anywhere >( I think they keep it there for themselves.

Aunt Josephine started on coffee age 5 given by her Italian dad from the old country... - and she had a brain at 97 sharp as a tack!
Played dice games and could add numbers faster than I in my early sixties, She was always playing solitaire and an avid reader. caffeine prevents Alz, diabetes, probably Parkinsons? helps us burn glycogen and I used to drink a lot before the gym. They use caffeine in hospital patients IVs to prevent terrible dull headaches for junkies like us!
Raysmyheart your praisse to post ratio is amazing!!
I may win an award here soon for the most flags in a week but hey its all in helping humans stay healthy but off topic.
well.....excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me! as Steve Martin would say.
Years ago I learned to always use unbleached paper filters there is something harmful that it removes. Forgot what.... I can drink a large cup loaded with caffeine then fall asleep an hour later. One cup at age 19 in evening and I was up all night.
For the budget minded try mixing Traders light roast with Joes dark roast-both are 3.99 for 14 oz thats been my 15 yr mainstay.
17 yrs ago my young Tortie was sitting on gfriends lap while she had her morning joe...and Hibou reached out to her cup and with the handle of her cup on kitchen table ....pulled the cup over to her with her front paw to see what was inside! true story ! off to feed the now 19 yr old tuff Tortie luv bug. Used coffee grounds great for plants with magnesium in it I think.

Are those the brown paper coffee filters? The natural ones? I noticed the stores are switching over to them and the regular white ones are getting harder to find. My dad doesn't like the brown ones for some reason. I don't really care, if it's better for the environment, then I wouldn't mind switching.

This article may help answer your question and you can show it to your dad too:
Huh. Do you rinse your paper filter first? I could see that making a terrible soggy mess, but maybe it could work.

#1 Great Value Sumatra coffee, Great Value vanilla powdered creamer, vanilla peppermint sugar
#2 Apple Cider with spiced vanilla sugar, heated up in the microwave. Yuck! I'll stick to my coffee.

I didn't like the hot apple cider, it just tastes like hot juice. Blech. I much prefer my coffee or cappuccino.

You have to spice hot cider heavily for it not to taste like a juice box that got left in the car,
The spice I added was similar to that, it had cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cardamom, vanilla, sugar. I used a whole Tablespoon. That's exactly what it tasted like, a juice box left out in the sun.

I would not add any type of sugar or sweetener to apple cider. It is sweet enough. What you would want to do is spice it up.. Do not use any of the 'hot' spices/peppers.

I really do like it.. either cold plain, or warmed up with cinnamon, nutmeg, a bit of all spice, a sprinkle of cloves... you can also add a tiny tiny smudge of cardamon.

#1 Great Value Sumatra drank black--I can't remember who told me not to put my lemon ginger sugar in my coffee. But I did it anyway. Yuck! I had to dump it and get a new cup of coffee.
#2 Great Value Sumatra, Great Value vanilla powdered creamer, McCormick apple cinnamon sugar
#3 Great Value Sumatra, Great Value vanilla liquid coffee creamer, McCormick apple cinnamon sugar

Not sure how I feel about the apple cinnamon sugar. It's a bit weird in my coffee. I'll try it on a buttered bagel tomorrow.

Great Value Sumatra coffee, Great Value vanilla powdered creamer, vanilla sugar
Great Value Sumatra coffee, Great Value vanilla powdered creamer, whole cow milk, stevia

This stevia is really growing on me. At first I hated it, but now I like it. How do you guys feel about stevia? Is it healthier?

I've never tried it, unless it was in something without my knowing, as I try to avoid artificial sweeteners, and even though stevia is derived from a plant, I still feel sugar, and its calories, is the "heathiest" sweetener.
