40's (F) today, cloudy and very windy. The kind of day I needed an extra cup of coffee. ☕

52* now with a high of 54*. :ohwell: At least the rain is supposed to stop this afternoon so I should get my grocery run in.

35 degrees, and it's snowing. Not much, and so far it isn't sticking, but the first snow of the season nonetheless.

After several weeks of highs in the 30’s and ten inches of snow, we are going to have nearly a week in the high 60’s! Perfect for finishing up yard work and I might even get a few things I was going to do in spring, like transplanting bushes, done.

Although no snow, 'yet,' we also had temps in the 30's and our forecast for the week ahead is mid-high 60's. We're going to do our fall clean up as well and get everything covered or put away for the winter months.

Its that warmer weather such a gift neely neely . Even though I won’t turn them on until after Thanksgiving, I will probably get Christmas lights up to. I have learned it’s better to get them up before you have to walk through thigh high snow or deal with sub zero temps.

It's definitely a gift, we usually get one nice week in November that's a tease.😉 The leaves are still on the trees so we will rake in a few weeks when they're all down but I need to cut back the perennials, dig up the potted plants, put the garden hoses away and cover whatever cannot fit in our shed. I always check to see if I need to caulk anything on the exterior of the house as well.

Most of my neighbors put up their holiday lights/decorations before Thanksgiving too. Those that wait run the risk of ice and snow as you mentioned. My pet peeve is when they still have them up by spring. :hmmm: I decorate inside the house not out so it's never a problem for me. However, now that the kids are grown I decorate less and less every year but always make sure to decorate the fireplace mantle, I guess it's tradition.

We had sustained 20 mile an hour winds yesterday evening and overnight and that took care of the last leaves on the trees. Just have to clean them up.

When my Christmas lights come down sort of depends on snow height. I usually don’t turn them on past January 1, but many years you can’t get through the snow to take them down until March.
