Did good and didn't get 3 cakes when I went to the store earlier today.
Walmart has single serve desserts. I got 3 today! Ate one for lunch with fruit and crackers. I haven't had beer in forever. I could go for a Guinness...Just my indoor 2 hour walk today. Will probably be the same boring thing until March or April.

I'm trying to build up my stamina for some longer hikes. There are a couple I'd like to do next month, but they're all five or six hour long hikes. Got to practice!

I did 90 minutes yoga and a 45 minute walk on Sunday, 90 minutes walk and 45 minutes yoga on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday were both gentler yoga practices, with two hour walks both days.

90 minutes of yoga on Thursday. An hour of yoga, a 2 hour walk and then 30 minutes deep stretching yesterday. Here are some pictures from my walk.

This is the peak I want to climb in the 6 hour walk. I wanted to climb the squarish peak in the middle, Jyunigatake, but Mr H says it's very tough. He thinks I'd be better climbing the peak on the far left, Onigatake.

Onigatake means Devil's Peak though. Not sure why that's the easier climb.

"I am freezing!! I am going to get pneumonia!!"
Same. But I am thinking that when I am INSIDE. It's so cold in here! 🥶

even wearing gloves, I was cold. :cold: And it's not even that cold yet. Makes me wonder how is it that I manage to survive winter every year
This year feels so much colder for some reason!

2 hour walk inside. Nothing exciting, but I got it done.

We keep the thermostat at 72* . I had to turn the heat on today. Woke up to the house being in the 60's because I forget to turn it on last night.

It's still strangely warm here. Some of the plants out on the deck are still flowering, which doesn't usually happen in November.

I've had a good week, a couple of two hour walks and one hour walks on other days. Today I did two hours of yoga, focusing on balance poses and core strength, then an hour walk. I'm hopefully going on a longer hike tomorrow.

How is everyone else doing this week?

Husband and I walked Monday and yesterday. I got home too late from voting to do it Tuesday. Hasn't been too cold on our walks so far but I'm sure that will change eventually. Husband is from Michigan so 40* weather is "mild" to him. Anything below 70* is cold to me and I need to layer up.

Raked leaves Tuesday morning, then could have shoveled snow that evening, but knew it would melt, so let it be. Now it's warming up again for the next several days.

Oh, went for a 28 minute walk yesterday, so almost made it to the 30 minute mark. Hopefully next time.

I think I might be somewhat younger than most of you, but I'm an early retiree,. I don't care much about weight in itself, but I really need to lose at least 5 kg and some really bad habits. Like eating table sugar with a spoon and sitting on my arse all day,

Great pictures though.
yikes spoonfuls of sugar

I was raking up more leaves, and cutting back some perennials, and when I stood up, I must have twisted my lower back, because OUCH. :mad2:

I've taken an ibuprofen, and been applying an ice pack, and it sometimes feels better, and other times not so much. I expect tomorrow morning will be bad getting out of bed, but hopefully it won't hurt as long as it did 2 years ago. Guess no power walks for a bit though. :sigh:
