I don't put a lot of effort in to them.I just drained them, put them in a microwave bowl,a pat of butter on top and nuke for 3 minutes. They're hot and the butter melts and we love them...nothing fancy.
I like beets too and my mom served them to us growing up. Have you ever had golden beets? Yum! :yummy:

I had farfalle pasta with spinach, parmesan and mozzarella cheese. I made teriyaki chicken strips for DH over brown rice. Several Biscoff cookies and a clementine for dessert.

Beets are one of the healthiest foods you can eat. I also like to heat them up in the microwave and add margarine and salt. I also like them pickled with just salt or I like them in a salad with ranch dressing. I love beets but hardly ever get them here. I also like Harvard beets.

Last night I had three bean salad, potato salad and a side salad for dinner.

I dearly love beets. hot or cold. Rick can't stand them, so I seldom have them. I should probably make them anyway.

You know, I'm thinking of beef stew for dinner tonight. I took a lovely chuck roast out of the freezer, thinking we'd have it on Sunday. But well, it's raining outside and it's dank and cold and just miserable. Beef stew it is!

That looks so good.
It was good. Wish I could send you a bowl. 🤗

The cleanup was more than I expected though, as I guess I put too much liquid, and it boiled over and burnt on the inside of the base of the Crockpot. I thought it was going to be garbage, but managed to clean it, and get it back to 99% normal.

Look at me! I never ate dessert for 25 years, but now I'm sampling all different cakes, pies, candy apples, and flavored sugars!!!
I'm also getting some sour patch kids candies in my next Walmart order.

made my Lentil and Spinach veggie soup in the Crockpot
Yummy! What spices did you use?

Breakfast: Thomas whole wheat English Muffin toasted, with butter and molasses sugar, and 3 vegetarian marshmallows.

Lunch: Huge dinner plate salad with all the fixins and finally finished that orange french dressing. I didn't like it much.

Dinner: Stir fry- olive oil, celery salt, jalapeno pepper powder, Korean chili flakes, cilantro, cabbage, celery, onions, vegetarian hot dog sliced in coins, 3 vegetarian marshmallows, Texas BBQ sauce. I put it on Walmart knockoff Wheat Thin crackers. These crackers suck! They taste nothing like Wheat Thins, which are my favorite cracker. I will have to stick to name brand crackers from now on.

We are big veggie eaters and beets are at the top of our list. They've always been a favorite in our house, and it doesn't matter how they're fixed.Well...I take that back.I am not a fan of borsht,but...I was a kid, too.Might like it now...

I never had borsht but I am sure I would like it.

For dinner tonight I had pickled beets, beans and rice and cole slaw. I passed on the jello they gave me for desert.

neely neely Gotta love those bakery muffins!

The other day I had made pizza. I saved a dough ball, but instead of putting it in the freezer, I threw it in the fridge. And have been punching it down every day to rise again. I'm using it tonight to make breadsticks to go along with our leftover beef stew. It will work. I wouldn't do it for days and days on end, but for a couple of days, the dough should be fine. A bit of garlic butter and a good scattering of grated Parm and well, I think I'm hungrier for the breadsticks than I am the leftover stew.

Who are you? And what did you do with M maggiedemi ?

Yay, though, for you learning to like sweets. :) Not that they're all that good for you, but they sure taste good. :yummy:

Yummy! What spices did you use?
Not many. Just Basil and a couple Bay Leaves. Plus the veggie bouillon powder. And usually fresh garlic, but I didn't have any this time.

For dinner tonight I had pickled beets, beans and rice and cole slaw.
You got beans and rice? That's great!

I went to a local bakery this afternoon and saw a huge pumpkin muffin that was calling my name, lol.
I love muffins, but don't think I've ever had a pumpkin one. Must put that on my "must bake" to do list.
