My dad called to chat today. I haven’t talked to him in a while so that was nice.
yum! Did you have a piece before you went to bed?
M maggiedemi Hoe's the peanut butter with white chocolate?

All day rain today but in a few days we'll have some all day sunny days! can't wait.

I have Granny Smiths with caramel dip, yum. Apples are so filling. I made a sammie
but put off eating it till later as I was very full.Sammie was southern fried chicken breast
on Italian bread, toasted, with mayo, very good.
I was surprisingly very good and did not!

That sandwich sounds really good!!

We have 2 jugs of it too. I don't know what to do with it. Maybe add some spices and warm in the microwave for a drink?
You can warm it with some cinnamon, or a cinnamon stick, some nutmeg, some people add a tiny bit of clove, and/or allspice. What ever type of fall spices you can think of.

I used to use the cinnamon, nutmeg. It was so good.

Good luck! :goodluck: We went to early voting last week and it was well worth the wait since we wanted to vote in person. I agree that the rain will probably deter some people.

My positive is DH and I are getting our flu shot today. I know that may not sound like a positive to some people but friends and neighbors told me many of the places they went to for the shot ran out of it so glad we're getting it at my doctor. 👨‍⚕️
Unfortunately the rain didn't deter as many people as I had hoped. Had to park on the main roads as the parking lot was just for handicap parking. Line was really long and at times, it was pouring rain.

You can drink apple cider as is, either cold or warmed up. Add spices like cinnamon and nutmeg if you like. Or use it in a recipe such as the ones recently posted here: Quarantine baking

I scored a great deal at The North Face Outlet store :yess: I bought a silky fleecy type jacket at 40% off. It's a light blue color. The only other color in my size was black but that shows cat hair too well

I just pulled apple crisp from the oven too.
Does it have crumble on top? That's my favorite part, I could eat a bowl of just that!

Hoe's the peanut butter with white chocolate?
I haven't opened it yet. I already have several open, so I was gonna wait, if I have enough willpower. We'll see.

Maybe use one of those cinnamon sticks you can buy packs of at the store to stir it up?
We have some of those cinnamon sticks. I don't know how old they are though.

You can warm it with some cinnamon, or a cinnamon stick, some nutmeg, some people add a tiny bit of clove, and/or allspice.
Thanks. We have all of those spices.

Those apple cider muffins sound good. I don't seem to like cake, I ate 2 different kinds the other day, both way too sweet!

My positive is our Aldi order is tomorrow. I ordered a bunch of fun stuff, but we'll see what they actually give me. They love to substitute at that store! Sometimes I'm okay with it because they pick good stuff. We'll see, stay tuned...

It does! I increased the topping recipe a bit so I could be sure it was well covered. It was good!

I always make our apple pies for Christmas and Thanksgiving. I get torn between a traditional crust and a crumb one. Sometimes I add things like chopped pecans and a bit of coconut. Caramel is good too. Apples are so fun to bake with!

I taught DS’s lessons from the couch this afternoon. He sat at a small table next to it. I was so over sitting at the table! I think a change of scenery was good for us both.

As with everything in life, for every positive, there is a negative. I couldn't fall asleep last night so I decided to start my Christmas shopping. 🎄🎅 But like my human kids, my fur kids are just as hard to pick things for. Gracie has her felt mice but not really into any other types of toys like that. I am getting them two new fishing pole toys and the marshmallow bed. Some treats although they rarely get them. Will have to scope out Chewy and pet stores for possible items for Santa to bring.

Positive: Nothing to do today, except to write out the rent check!!
It is snowing here; :(
We should be getting about 1-2 inches. The beach sand is coated with snow.

So grateful my car is now in the parking lot, instead of the street! I can remotely start/warm the car from the window on my floor!!
Grateful :worship:

Three hours of yard work today on a sunny, windless 40 degree day. It starts off feeling cold but by the end I was tempted to go without a jacket. Most of our snow was melted and I originally thought I would just rake leaves off the the areas that can’t be mowed but once I started it just felt so good I couldn’t stop. Cut down raspberries (that is always sad) mowed all the leaves down and cleared the gardens. I am sure I will have to take one more pass at it all but for now, it looks neat and beautiful and I feel the good kind of tired that comes from fresh air and exercise.

I want to try a Dutch Apple pie. It is completely covered with crumbs! Walmart & Aldi both have one. It will be mine!

My positive is, here's what I got in our Aldi order tonight- Pumpkin Spice Creamer, Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips, Roasted Red Pepper Rice Crackers, Brioche Bagels, Vegetarian Hot Dogs, Vegetarian Meatballs, Vegetarian Chicken Nuggets, Vanilla Almond Milk, Toasted Coconut Almond Milk, Honey Almond Whole Grain Granola, Honey Almond Raisin Whole Grain Granola, Garbanzo Beans, Alfredo Sauce, 1 Fresh Cantaloupe, Fresh Pears, Bananas, Spring Mix greens, and various other frozen, fresh, and canned veggies. They accidentally gave us 8 avocadoes instead of 2. That's gonna be expensive! 😲

My husband ordered us a ćevapčići kit! We didn't go in the city to find the food truck this summer, so he thought it might be a good meal for our anniversary. It was a nice surprise!
I don't know those are but are they some sort of Eastern European food?
So how has your first year been, Lari, Lari, Married Lady?🎵🎹

We are going to have all day sun today! Only in the 40s but perfect for a walk if I layer.
I plan on watching some scary movies as well. 😱

Yeah, they're like these Croatian sausages. I guess technically more Bosnian, but my ancestry from that area is Croatian, so that's what we're going with. There's a food truck in Chicago we usually hit once a year, but you know, Covid.

I can't believe it's almost been a year.

I slept late this morning which felt so good and I'm staying home to do chores until it's time to put out candy for the trick-or-treaters. Halloween will be handled differently this year due to Covid so we will abide by our town's rules but I don't want the kids who come by in costume to be disappointed. 🎃

Is that like kebobs? I could go for a veggie kebob. 🍆🍍

There is absolutely nothing perfect about 40 degree weather. 🥶

My positive is I loved the Aldi roasted red pepper rice crackers. I never thought I would see the day when gluten free crackers taste better than regular crackers. But I got 2 boxes of Walmart Great Value store brand crackers and they were the yuckiest thing I ever ate. I doubt I will ever try their brand again, if 2 different boxes were so terrible. But anyway, the Aldi crackers were fab!
