There is a strong feeling I have about not messing with our food supply.
But humans have always "messed with the food supply". Have you ever seen what bananas used to be? Or corn? How much milk a wild-type bovine produces vs a Holstein? Or the fat content of that milk? How many eggs a wild fowl produces vs a domestic chicken? Nothing we eat is truly natural.

True. My concern is that we push it to far and we end up reaping what we sow. Case in point, the antibiotic problem. For years doctors over prescribed it and it has been used in livestock to keep the animals healthy until they end up at the meat factory. All this could create antibiotic resistance in our bodies and make us more sickly in the long run while these antibiotics are rendered ineffective. This is a serious problem that will get worse over time. I have had a bad encounter where I was prescribed strong antibiotics that totally messed with my gut flora. I had to take a ton of probiotics to come back from this. My eyes was fully opened when this happened, and I was very careful ever since. I believe antibiotics has it's purpose, but their needs to be new guidelines about their use in light of this rising threat.

Anyway, food for thought. Thanks for your reply.
