Well when I did laundry last night at the laundromat (washed bedding and some hoodies, so too bulky for the little washer at home), I did a 2k walk during the wash cycle (30min) and a 3k run during the dry cycle (30min). My tracking app (Underarmor) got really messed up though and said I did 1k in 5:11! YEAH RIGHT! I was kind of upset because I like to post my little app screenshots, but this one was clearly messed up. I tried to make it funny (said I got caught in an interdimensional time rift) and posted it anyway.

Also made my 30km/week walking goal again.

Husband and I did multiple walks per day over the weekend. Got him up to 2.5 miles. He is thinking about starting to walk before work to keep up the mile count as we only have so much time after dinner before I need to get ready for bed by 8pm. Not to mention how dark it is in our area because we don't have street lights.

I am debating with myself over whether to buy a piece of exercise equipment. With icy weather coming soon and gyms still not safe, I am feeling like I don’t have much choice. In the past I have had an elliptical which a pain because had to be repaired multiple times (they said home ones are rarely used every day), and a treadmill which was just so boring. So I am thinking about getting a rowing machine. I have loved using one at the gym and they give your arms and legs a good workout. I think I will visit a local equipment store and take a look this week.

If I didn’t have this elliptical at home; I don’t know that I’d ever have gotten started losing weight and into shape. Walking just doesn’t do as much for me and I’m no runner. I started with a cheap treadmill and then a cheap bike. The treadmill didn’t work well and even in front of the tv it was boring. The bike made my seat go to sleep... My kids play on it in the garage. It wasn’t my idea to get an elliptical; but I’m the one who uses it.

I think I might be somewhat younger than most of you, but I'm an early retiree,. I don't care much about weight in itself, but I really need to lose at least 5 kg and some really bad habits. Like eating table sugar with a spoon and sitting on my arse all day,

I went on a long hike yesterday. I climbed Omurayama, which is a little volcano next to Mount Fuji. This isn't my picture, but it's the little volcano to the left of Mount Fuji.

It took 2 hours 15 minutes to get up and an hour to get back down. Then I did about 40 minutes of yoga to stretch my poor, weary muscles after that. Some pictures from the walk.

Unfortunately by the time we got to the top it had clouded over, so this is our rather underwhelming view of Fuji.

We went for pizza on the way home, I figured we'd earnt some carbs.

I pull out my manual treadmil and use a small portable CD player to listen to classic rock. Fast music makes me move fast. I only do it for 15 minutes run walk then on demand workouts on my TV. I have a roku stick. I would worry about a row machine hurting my back. My on demand workouts are bodyweight training. No dumdels are used

Yeah, I listened to a Kenny Rogers playlist today on my 2 hour walk indoors, and it's not really motivating. I need faster music!
I gained 1 pound this week, so that's good. All I did was start adding milk and sugar to my coffee, and I ate a bagel every day. Also increased my water intake by 16oz. So not sure what did it, maybe a combination.

Try something in the southern gothic genre. It tends to have a little more oomph.

I'm not sure what that is!

Keith urban has some really fast music. Also breeze from lnyad skynyrd. My fav tompetty
I love all 3 of those singers. Especially Tom Petty.

Just my usual 2 hour walk indoors today. I might take my walk outdoors tomorrow, I hear it's supposed to go up to 70 degrees.

Did you actually do the moonwalk?! Man, I would like to see that.
It was interesting. Get in pushup position then turn your legs to the right and walk 4x away from you and back then left side For the kick out, plank turn to the right, kick with left, back in plank then kick up with right
