I like the aisle seat, especially since a bad experience. I volunteered to change seats with an older man so he could sit with his wife. His seat was a window seat that I took. When I had to go to the restroom the man in the aisle seat got up to let me out but the one next to me in the middle wouldn't! Plus he was a very big man and I could barely squeeze out past him!

Window. I rarely get up to use the bathroom, so I wouldn't be disturbed or be disturbing others in that seat. I also feel like there is a little more room.

I KNOW flying is safer than driving. Safer than crossing the street, even. I have a semi-cousin (raised by my aunt and uncle, their nephew on the side not related to me) has been a flight attendant for 30 years and he's never even SEEN an accident. But that doesn't help. Maybe it's the lack of control, idk. I tend to mutter flying safety statistics to myself during takeoff and landing, and if there's any turbulence.

Fear of falling that far from the sky if the plane goes down.
Planes don't just fall out of the sky though. It never happens. Crashes happen during takeoff and landing. And why do our brains think falling would be worse than rolling over in a vehicle and bursting into flames? Really, it's a fine study in how silly our brains are. But that still doesn't help me not be anxious!
