tabbytom tabbytom I do have spell check and it has a wicked mind! Lol It has often spoken out of turn. I do try to review what I type but with my vision, I often miss typos. A larger screen would probably help and once I adjust, a larger keyboard will probably help too. I wish I could guarantee that but.... then M maggiedemi wouldn’t get so many laughs at my typing! As rubysmama rubysmama noticed the other day... insipropriate words! ;) Yes, I did know that was mistyped. Although that one was on purpose, I seem to have a true talent for typos. Who else could turn a typo into a typo of a typo? As in ... to posting, tons posting and tinposting. If only I had a nickel for every typo! 💵💴💶💷 I’d be thanking spell check then!

These were finished today. I hope this helps someone, somewhere! For small kittens, metal hardware cloth could be added just by attaching it where the mounding is screened to the edge of the lattice. This is lightweight, less expensive and easily removed as needed.
Very ingenious. I'm going to bookmark that post to reference when people are looking for setup ideas for introducing cats.:)

A larger screen should help, but I know for a fact typos will still slip through. At least they do with me.

tabbytom tabbytom Mac was so easy after being on a windows system before. We do adjust though. I wonder if I will make more or less typos?

M maggiedemi I don’t get an hour of sitting for coffee. Lol The cats are always waiting. I pan for gold first, feed second and coffee while the kitties eat. Maybe if I sat outside for coffee? To get your texts as they come in, you would have to sit at the end of your driveway all day! Yikes! At least I can get texts in a more timely fashion if my system is up. Waterless method? So.... you will have to keep us informed. Just what does that mean? No water during dying the fabric or ....:dunno: so what happens when the jeans get washed? Lololol
Posting on the phone really wasn’t bad since I had never posted on a computer. I did spend time typing on one so I had to adjust but you don’t miss what you never knew.

pearl99 pearl99 That looks like BJ! Time for some “Found cat” signs? I always just put that with a phone number and if anyone calls, I make them describe the cat, tell me why it is wandering lost, ask many questions and then if the answers are all good I ask for the name of their vet and permission to call and get verification before I give ANY info about the cat. So far I have only had two cats be claimed but both were lost for a very good reason. No one has even called about any of the others. Not surprising. That is so sweet that Waffles talks to that kitty! Tell Waffles, I send thanks and lots of pets.
I have seen scared ferals get in their litter boxes before. I think the litter reminds them of the sand outside here. Reassuring. Prints has seemed so relaxed here, it surprised me but maybe he is more feral than I thought or was an outside kitty. He hasn’t gotten back in the box though. I have him lots of extra snuggling last night. He is sooo sweet!

N NY cat man Awwww! Miss Eleanor really wanted to join the furmily! I am so glad you rescued her. She did look lonely and her expression says, “let me in! Help!” I wish everyone would recognize that and respond as you did!:redheartpump: Beautiful lady.
As it turned out, her wish was our command, as it was only a week or so later that she came in to join the other 5 feline residents. Somewhere I have a picture of the 'greeting committee' at the window with her on the outside, if I can find it.

Miss Eleanor before she joined us inside
She's a little dolly! Was she feral? :lovecat3:

The nighttime version- Waffles talks to him:
Awww. That's the best kind of visitor. 😍

Waterless method? So.... you will have to keep us informed. Just what does that mean?
Levi's are going to wash the jeans with bottle caps & golf balls instead of water. I'm curious to see if they will look different.

I do have spell check and it has a wicked mind! Lol It has often spoken out of turn.
One time my Uncle sent me a message & spellcheck changed my name to Megan. Calling women by the wrong name could definitely cause problems!

then M maggiedemi wouldn’t get so many laughs at my typing!
Yes. Your typos do keep me entertained. Please don't stop.

Yes, she was a TNR that apparently liked the looks of our house, as she showed up one day and hung around. Once she got used to us, she turned into a real sweetheart. Here she is today.

We see him about every week or so. Always after dark. Next time I will try opening my kitchen door to the patio and see if he runs off. He may be there other times and we (Waffles and I) just don't see him. I am just calling him a him because of the white tuxedo shirt and white shoes, with a gray tuxedo. Looks very dapper.

Hello Jcatbird. I hope everything is going well for you and that you are on your way to getting a new computer. You are like me with typos, I have had some doozies too, also auto correct sometimes corrects my words and if I don't reread what I am about to post, I get crazy typos. Uggghhh!😬

Jcatbird, can I ask a favor. I just put up a new thread. I wanted to put the other week's drama behind me, but I am troubled by something going on. Anyway, if you have a free minute, I appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose I replied to your thread. I hope it helps. :alright:

rubysmama rubysmama I hope the lattice will work for others too. It’s so much easier to just open the panels like a door over using hooks to hold shelving or gates that are a pain to open and that the cats think are just a nice new place to climb and perch! Lol I’ll update as the cats test them out. So far, so good!

M maggiedemi I’ll keep up the typos... just for you! Lol

Those jeans should end up looking a bit distressed and maybe softened by the pounding they will get. Maybe even slightly faded?

Miss Eleanor is a doll! Beautiful and sweet.

pearl99 pearl99 I hope your visitor decides to enter and get to know Waffles better. I love his sweet face!

N NY cat man Miss Eleanor look so completely content! She knew which human to choose! All the kitties chose very well!

Ready to smile? Look who I got to snuggle! Baby Shakespeare is all grown up! It’s so comforting to be able to see a baby that I raised and loved! The last time I half him he was still a kitten and I was saying goodbye. I was so happy that he , not only allowed me to pet but seemed to remember me and the way I used to hold him and talk to him. I always asked him if he had something to say to the world and he would answer. I daid that to him again and I got the same answer.

rubysmama rubysmama and pearl99 pearl99 It was so great to see Shakespeare again. His human tells me he owns his world. Lol He has everything a kitty could want. Where we were sitting is the most beautiful enclosed courtyard garden. High walls and lots of levels filled with places for a cat to explore. He has cat family there too and his own little dog. He gets to take the dog on a leash to the park for walks. Lol I hear that gets a lot of attention. All the kitties there were very sweet. Shakespeare had to check me out before allowing me to be accepted into the garden. I felt very honored that he jumped into my lap for snuggles. I was told that he spent more time in my lap than he would normally give to others. He even relaxed on his back to show his Timmy and purred with his face against my neck as he had done as a kitten. We talked at length. Lol His name remains Shakespeare. All of his siblings kept their given names as well. Of all the cats I have been able to follow in their adopted homes, all kept their names. Shakespeare still gets to visit with his siblings. Harlequin and Churchill visit often since they live nearby. Maybe I will get a chance to see them again someday. It’s nice to know that everything turned out so well for them all.

There goes that spellcheck again. Love how it even capitalized the incorrect choice.

That's cool that all your adopted kitties still have the names you gave them. I'm not sure if I would have kept a name like Shakespeare, as it doesn't easily lend itself to shortened nicknames. Course that wouldn't stop me from coming up with something like, "Shakie-baby".:catlove:

Awww man, that doesn't sound good! I don't like the distressed faded look. 😭

Hmmmm. I won't say a word. I'll just do another faceplant.:flail:

Wow, that's wonderful and unusual that he gets to visit with his kitty siblings. :)

Oh good. Glad to hear it's an enclosed garden. 👍

It's a regal name. It suits him. Yes, I was thinking Shakey for a nickname too.

rubysmama rubysmama It doesn’t help matters that I have to post quickly lately. I had to laugh at the naming of the TUMMY. At least we can all laugh at the typos.
Shakespeare’s nickname has become Shaksie.
I think it’s pretty amazing how many of the names stuck. Many were sort of ...different?Harlequin, Turtle Dove, Sandy Claws, Churchill, Eisenhower, UFF, Chesapeake, Domino, but then, the cats did choose the names. ;) Some lend themselves to nicknames but Churchill is called Churchill, Harlequin is called Harlequin. Harlequin actually went to a six year old little girl ( technically the family of) and the child was the one to insist the name remain. I thought that was really unusual but nice. Chesapeake is called Chessie but registered at the vet with his full name. I did remember hearing about one name that was changed. I don’t know the adopting family but the wrote a note that passed on to me. I think you may remember this. Cloud was adopted the day he went to the shelter so, the Silver lining worked out well for him as a Cloud kitten. Although I haven’t been able to follow further, I feel very sure that Cloud got a very good home. Ahhhh... Damien Wayne Sprout.... lol I do wonder what they call him now!

M maggiedemi Okay! I did a faceplant with you. Oh my! Lol

It is very unusual that Shakespeare gets to visit his siblings. All those kitties live very luxurious lives too. I could not have dreamed of such good places for them. I love getting updates and new pictures. I keep a list of those I can contact and each year I send greetings out to each family. Sometimes they write me first though. It’s a very happy day when I get one of those messages. Any struggles I ever experienced were wiped away when I started to hear about the way the kitties lives changed for the better and changed the lives of the humans they love for the better as well. The kitties have connected me to some amazing people, here and elsewhere.
