The tonsposting was a typo. Lol You know my fingers fumble.
You created a fun new word! Tonposting is posting a ton.

I hope that the cooking and other things are wonderful bright spots, Prints in each day! ;)
Yes, I have been practicing cooking. Also been researching & trying different fabric shirts on my walks to see which is warmest for winter. With all this experimenting, I don't have as much time for misery.

Maybe that why Prints came to keep me company right now!
Yes! It was perfect timing for us both. ⌚⏰

if you can’t go against the current, you swim diagonally to get to the other side but you don’t give up. We keep swimming!
I like that, swim diagonally if you have to, and keep moving. 👍

Hoping. Always hoping!
Always! 😉

Swimming diagonally has saved more lives than I can count, both literally and figuratively. I highly recommend it. With a father who loved sailing, I'd calling "tacking into the wind." Sometimes one has to go one way to get another, but as long as you get there, who cares?

tabbytom tabbytom I won’t know about the decision from the vet tech until I get Prints neutered. She is still living with her parents and I expect that will be a part of her “convincing” them. I am more than happy to have all the vet work done if that gets him a great home. I have always had that done before any adoption anyway. Standard procedure around here is that all vet preparations are completed first. It is very good rule to follow. She did take photos of Prints while we were there and even liked the name. She carried him around awhile without me too! Wrapped up like a babe in her arms so I know he already put his prints on her heart. I will be spending the weekend canvassing the neighborhood one more time for his family but at this point, I am hoping he finds a better place.

rubysmama rubysmama It’s kitten season. The shelters are full and the main one o used before is now a bad place again. The last cat I placed there is one I had to get re rescued. She was near euthanasia time. I was tipped off by an employee. Thank goodness! When she entered the shelter it was agreed that she would NOT be at risk or would be returned but the new director wasn’t following previous agreements. I can’t send Prints there. I am scouting new places but after getting 80+ adopted out, I think they may pull the welcome mat out from under me. Lol I wil do what I always do and just keep trying.
There are many reasons why rescuers try to stay off the radar. One is that others dump cats in your yard and another is that you max out your quota of finding spaces in good shelters. I found many good homes on my own and hope to again. I have put out the word that I have stopped any further rescues but.....maybe someone followed me home after I bought cat food! I am going to start coming home diagonally! ;)

pearl99 pearl99 He really is an unusual looking kitty. Very handsome! I keep thinking that if he is tame, someone must be missing him terribly. Maybe they just couldn’t take care of him anymore. Making some progress on communication but it’s taking many trips into another town.

N NY cat man I tend to agree that this may be a case of someone taking a cat away without the knowledge of others. That guy sped off while I was trying to stop him to ascertain why he was here. I had already met his eyes and yelled out,”Why are you here?” I think what he yelled back was,” broke down!” but drove away! Did not appear to have car trouble. I could be wrong though. I did not recognize him. I will be watching though! Time to put the chains back up across the drive but each time I start to do that, I wonder if a cat will be dumped right into the highway instead. Or worse. I think I prefer to try and catch the human myself! I want an explanation! If it is need , it’s one thing, if it’s a bad human..... hmmm..... what to do next? Either way, the cat needs help. It always comes back to helping the cat. A man who used to live near here told me a story about catching someone dumping a cat. He managed to grab the cat and throw it back into the car. NOT acceptable! I understand the frustration but that just put the poor cat somewhere else. I think a camera at my drive to record it and prosecute the human might help but even that puts the cat at risk in this county. We are dealing with this very dilemma at an established “safe” spot for Ferals. Posted signs warn of the legal ramifications but that just didn’t help. Now there are signs about cameras there. The only solution is Spay/neuter and responsible guardians along with adoptions and help provided to those who want to keep their kitties but have fallen on hard times. Some of us would provide more homes but there are limits for us all. :disappointed:

To anyone who may be facing a struggle to provide, look for pet assistance on google! There are some groups that try to help owners to keep their pets by assisting with vet care and even with other expenses. If you are a senior, look for senior discounts EVERYWHERE! Vets often have senior discounts too but you need to ask! Also there may be discounts for multi cat homes. Ask!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I love big kitty ears too! I wonder what Whistle will think though! Lol
Baby Su was so lucky you found her! These days I actually hide all outside evidence of cats! No carriers after I clean them, extra litter boxes stored out there and all boxes, bags or cans with any kitty pictures are promptly stashed deep in the trash inside black trash bags. I know that rescue groups know what is here and the vet office knows but outside of true cat people, I try to lay low. Not that I don’t want to help other kitties but if everyone knew, I would but overwhelmed. I already have to turn down friends who find kittens and convert them into small rescue homes themselves! I have had to refuse to take in three litters this year and two adults. Those kitties had a happy ending though. I went and helped the people who found them and they helped the kitties. I also helped to relocate a colony. Small one but successful. The good news is that three more humans have become rescuers. At least for those cats. All are spayed and neutered now too! The cats not the humans!
I am a few steps closer to getting back up and running via technology. It’s complicated by my location but I found someone to help who knows his stuff! Ironically, his family came from the town where I grew up! Small world. He is even willing to travel here to help figure things out. He also has cats, including one black rescued feral! All good signs! Funny thing, I found this guy after talking to someone else about Cats! It led to a discussion about tech problems and that person wanted to help! They referred me to the tech guy! Long story but one connection led to another and another and there are some very good humans involved.

Boris Diamond Boris Diamond I don’t always get notifications either. I think the system gets overwhelmed at times. I’m glad you found it though so you know I am having system issues. Perhaps that’s why you didn’t get the notice?
Isn’t Prints a cutie? Gotta love those ears! I can’t resist snuggling that little cat head! Lol I hope all is well with everyone there. I have had you all on my mind. Especially wondering how Tiger is doing with the roommates.

M maggiedemi This is one of those tonposting posts! I think it’s going to be a great typo!

I like shirts that are fleece lined for warmth. Wool is too itchy for me. A tightly woven fabric doesn’t let as much breeze in. Are yoy still experimenting with the Knorrs? We’d love to know what good things you have cooked up! Something ate one of the habenero peppers off my plant! Only one so I guess they got warmed up! I think it was a young possum. So far he hasn’t eaten a second one. Poor little guy. I am keeping water dishes inside the greenhouse near the plant, just in case! The deer are staying nearby but I doubt they went in the greenhouse. It’s good to see the deer though. They are beautiful animals. The hardware up the road has deer feed in stock. As hunting season opens I may be trying to keep them near. I wonder if they would like to hide in the greenhouse? :headscratch:

Definitely keep moving. That keeps us warm too!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 You know about riptides. Now I think they call them rip currents. I have been in them and they are very powerful but if you know how to get out, can be beaten. It’s all in knowing how to maneuver in a situation. Tacking! So true. As long as we get where we need to go, another route is okay. We may feel we are going around our elbow to get to, well, you know. Lol Still, sometimes that’s the route me must take. Any route that saves lives is the one I will take.

I was told not to use my system any more than I have to right now. I consider getting here some a “have to!” I am not here much but will be checking in. If anyone sees a post where I may be able to offer something of value, please link it here so I will know to use my limited time there, if needed. I do consider sharing smiles of value!
I wore this shirt today when I went to spend the day doing geek work. BTW I use the term geek as one of endearment. Geeks are great! The shirt was given to me by my favorite geek. Lol I love the book that it refers to and loved it long before it was made into a film. I prefer the book to the film.

The answer to the question on the shirt? No, not the last.

I let Froggie do the singing in the rain tonight and I gave the cats treats. Banjo got in a couple of more kisses but I didn’t see any more kitties..... yet. Perhaps we’ll just have magic unicorns for awhile. A herd of unicorns in the sky would be nice. The term used for a herd of Unicorns is a “Blessing.” The term used for a group of frogs is a “Chorus.” A Chorus, a Clowder and a Blessing sounds just right! I would wish that for everyone! Until we meet again.....:redheartpump::bicolorcat:🐸🦄🐾🧚‍♀️:lovecat4::kitty: All the important things sent with:purr:

I guess her parents need a little convincing and on top of that, what do you expect if you are working as vet tech but you bring home a punk from work? It's natural that they bring home animals, I mean real animals like cats and not human that behave like animals....................

Sorry to hear that shelter is a bad place again. :(

Who was the cat you had to rescue from there? Someone currently at Chez Catbird? Or did she get re-adopted.

And, no, absolutely Prints can't go there. :sigh:

Anyone else see the eye in the clouds? 👁 And an elephant? 🐘 Or maybe a ram? 🐏

rubysmama rubysmama How GORGEOUS! Thanks for sharing those with us!
Jcatbird Jcatbird So you're thinking about getting a desktop, it sounds like? Hope the guy you found is good at what he does and can get you set up quickly. Too bad we are not neighbors as I set up my own systems and help people with IT stuff to a degree -- probably about a level 1 tech, I guess. I love helping people with setup and kind of basic problems, although more and more, they are automatically taken care of by Microsoft.

Was that Wanda you got out of the "shelter"? Yeah, not a good place and especially in these times of desperation. Praying and wishing that more people take it upon themselves to step up and take personal responsibility. There are so many sources of help in terms of being educated in cat and kitten care online now -- if a person can afford it and has the place in their home and heart, there's just no reason for them not to get involved in helping to save these most precious of all lives.

tabbytom tabbytom I have very high hopes for that tech but I have often had hopes dashed. Her family does not have a cat so..... really hoping!

rubysmama rubysmama The Chinese lanterns are beautiful! I love the color! The ones around here tend to be a muddy orange color. Not nearly as nice. Thank you for such a lovely photo! Happy lanterns!

Not that shelter for Prince. The only no kill is in the next state and is full. Honestly I didn’t have many adoptions through them anyway. Tortie and Liberty both went there and so did Snuggles. Snuggles is the only one that got adopted there. They finally asked me to pick the other two back up to give other kitties a chance. There was a Snowshoe in the cat room that kept harassing them and they returned terrorized. I was very upsett that they allowed that. The Snowshoe finally did get adopted but by then, all spaces were filled again. It cost me a lot to get any of the kitties placed there , with little success.
Kodiak is the one I had to reclaim. Poor baby had been in a small space for months. She’s soooo loving and socialized but there were just so many kitties there. I hated going in there because I wanted to rescue them all. At least taking Kodiak back have another cat more time. A lot of rescue groups got involved at that time in trying to pull cats out but it was a very difficult process. I managed to get in the back section and was able to send out crucial info to out of state rescuers. I know for sure that some were taken to other places. Hopefully, all. That’s no place for a Prints.

I do see the eye in the sky! Lol I can see a ram too but where is the elephant?

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Wanda Heart didn’t go to the shelter. It was not accepting kitties then and the one out of state kept saying she would get a spot. They put us on the waiting list but when I found out she was sick, they refused her. It was Kodiak I reclaimed. Sister to Mountain and daughter to Blue and Goldie. She and most of her family had survived so much, I just couldn’t give up on her after all that. She deserved better. Much better. She’s a happy and funny girl now. She is one of the most playful kitties in the House!

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Haha! Tinposting is often found in TCS. Just so you know ahead of time, I have some vision issues and I make a lot of typos! If you see an insppropipriate word, I ask forgiveness ahead of time! Clowder often becomes Chowder and shut often becomes..... well, you can guess at that one. Tonposting was supposed to be, “to posting “ but my vision missed the typo so, I actually agree with everyone that expressed what you just said too, good new word for many of us here! I post books instead of simple posts. Lol I could say that about a few others too. kittychick kittychick is one of those who usually enjoys my typos. I bet tonposting is one she will appreciate.
Let’s see if that new word migrates!

I left you a pm and i up dated my threads. The dying kitty most likely passed on. He went into a semi-forested area by the RR that is restricted (and dangerous for entry) I didn't want to see him suffer, so it was just as well. RIP, gone but not forgotten.😢

But...WHAT are you doing on here? Just concerned about your having IT. I know you have a LL but still. REALLY hoping you get something reliable and get back up and running soon. I don't have social media (fb, twitter, or TCS) on my phone because I need my phone for business and communication. I do take pix on it, though, and immediately put on PC as well as on 3 sources in the cloud, just in case.

Now that you post more about it, I do remember you having to rescue the poor terrorized kitties. :(

Kodiak is the one I had to reclaim. Poor baby had been in a small space for months. She’s soooo loving and socialized but there were just so many kitties there.
Poor baby Kodiak. Now I want her to find a froggie prince of her own. 🐸
Just so long as kissing the frog doesn't bring more feline princes your way. :nono:

Diagonally to the bottom left of the eye, I see an elephant trunk. 🐘

If you see an insppropipriate word,
Ok... that was intentional. Right?

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I had to come on for a particular person. Sometimes the need is there. I deleted a bunch of stuff so I could be on briefly and the signal strength was here. Lol I am back off now. After doing a typo on a typo! Tinsposting.
I have things backed up now so..... hopefully no losses either way except loss of ability to post. I sure wish you were my tech support! I am learning something new so bear with me folks! Magic and I now VANISH! Poof!

I will do what I always do and just keep trying.
Yes, I've found it's best to keep busy trying different things. At least that way you learn something, some wisdom you can use for the future when better days come. ;)

I like shirts that are fleece lined for warmth.
Me too! Fleece is the only thing that keeps me warm so far. I've got a corduroy shirt coming in the mail, we'll see how that works.

Are you still experimenting with the Knorrs?
Yes! My town carries 6 of the flavors, so I restocked. I also got some Pasta Roni and Flaming Hot Cheetos Mac & Cheese. I add veggies or beans to make it healthier.

I have some vision issues and I make a lot of typos!
I think it's spellcheck that does it! One time I tried to type "I love shopping" in a text and my phone changed it to "I love shooting." That could be problematic. :eek3:

After doing a typo on a typo! Tinsposting.
Ha! Only you could make a typo on a typo. Your typos make me laugh so hard that I almost do a faceplant.
