Saw a sign for Buckwheat Road and I said to Rick, "You know, they say buckwheat pancakes are really good." And then I said, "Speaking of pancakes, it's been a while since we had pancakes and sausage for supper." And that, ladies and gentlemen is why when we came home, Rick went downstairs to the freezer and brought up a ring of sausage. And why we're having pancakes and sausage tonight for our Friday night supper. It all started with a road identification sign. And that's how my mind works!
Rick says thank goodness we didn't drive along Shinbone Road yesterday! (yes, we do have a Shinbone Road)
Or Hog Jowl Road, which is just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee, across the Georgia line. It's actually, name notwithstanding, a very pretty road with a couple of gorgeous small farms.

Tonight? Left over sausage gravy and biscuits! And a scrambled egg! Can't keep the sausage gravy hanging around too long, you know!

I've been MIA from this thread because I had dental surgery and on a soft food diet with no spicy, acidic, sharp edges or hot food. It's pretty boring so I've tried to be creative. I graduated to soft pasta and added room temperature butternut squash soup instead of marinara sauce. I'm supposed to get my sutures out the end of the week and hopefully will be able to eat some of the foods I've missed. BTW, the first question I asked about was coffee and luckily the doctor said I could have it as long as it's iced or room temperature. 👍

Sure thing. However, there's no hot sauce, so it might be too boring taste-wise for you.

As it is quick and easy to make when you're in a hurry, or don't feel like cooking, I posted the recipe in the vegetarian/vegan recipe thread, in case anyone is interested. Recipes - Main Dishes And Entrees - Vegetarian/vegan

Dinner: Soup with cabbage, potatoes, peas, celery, cauliflower, carrots, onions, garlic, cannellini beans, alfredo sauce, veggie broth, turmeric, sage, garlic parsley salt, ghost pepper sauce.
That taste as good as it sounds?

That's one reason why though I'd like to upgrade my kitchen to stainless steel appliances, I'm hesitant to replace my old, but still working fine white stove, as though the timer and clock are digital, the burners and oven just has dials, so no computer issues to worry about.

Hope your "F11" message is an easy and cheap repair. :crossfingers:

Vibes for continued healing, and that you're able to eat more normally soon. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

I can bring my own hot sauce, I have 50 bottles. I'm sure you have something spicy though. Got any cayenne or crushed red pepper?

Yes! It was quite tasty.

Breakfast: Aldi English Muffin toasted with 1TB Butter and 1/2 Tsp Vegemite from Australia! Also had an Aldi tropical fruit cup that had papaya in it.

Lunch: Veggie Sammich on Aldi plain bagel toasted, mayo, 1/2 Tsp Vegemite from Australia, swiss chard, tomato, onion, hard boiled egg, swiss cheese. I really liked the Vegemite on my sammich! Tasted like soy sauce though, so I could easily get that flavor for cheaper!

Dinner: 3 Aldi vegetarian chickenless nuggets with red jalapeno hot sauce, green beans with butter, egg/potato/onion/cheese frittata with ketchup.
