My favorite is called Sweet Tango. It's sweet yet tart and SO good with maple almond butter
I'll have to look for some of these wonderful crosses. I love flavored almond butter too.

Found a Korean restaurant near work selling home made Kimchee..even had some for breakfast
I want to try Kimchee. Do you heat it up or just put it on cold?

Empire was mom's fave.
I've had Empire apples a billion times, along with Gala.

They go in the washing machine but you can hand wash them in the sink
Thank you! I can just dunk them in the dish water after I wash the dishes, like I do with my sandals.

My positive is I think I figured out that Demi has a tuna juice allergy. He has been throwing up occasionally his entire life. I never associated it with tuna juice though, because all cats drink that. But we ran out of tuna and Demi hasn't thrown up a single time since! And his eyes aren't runny anymore. Weird. Maybe it's the sodium in it? Glad I figured it out finally.

Positive for right now... it is Friday! :yess:
But I do have to be up at 6am both Saturday and Sunday because youngest has a ROTC event. Cadets work the parking lot directing people where to park. Muster is at 0730.

Going to be another beautiful day!! My parka is in the dryer in case it's chilly. I plan on reading outside
Nice, cool sunny all weekend.

Only one more load of blankets to wash. Cal was snuggled up in our fave last night, angel baby.,

saw a pleasant surprise, i.e. a giant swan!
What is that? An inflatable swan?

I just have it cold with sticky rice
I don't think I ever had that type of rice.

What is a parka, some type of coat right?

My positive is we are getting our Aldi order tonight! I got a bunch of fun stuff: General Tso cooking sauce, cinnamon raisin granola, French roast coffee, mac and cheese, vanilla almond milk, vegetarian chickenless strips, grapes, bananas, pears, Gala apples, avocadoes, tropical fruit cups, cherry mixed fruit cups.

LOL, yes, and if you look closely you can see a baby swan next to the giant one.

My positive is we are getting some trees trimmed in the yard today. One of them, a magnolia tree, has a limb that is reaching out so far it's touching my neighbor's roof. A few other limbs are so low that DH keeps hitting his head when he mows the lawn. :frustrated:

Yes! you can just eat Kimchi cold! Usually people eat it as a side dish. I actually don't really like regular kimchi. My favorite is radish kimchi which is called Kkakdugi and is extremely fun to say! THe taste is peppery and vinegary, but I don't think it's as alien to western palates as people think!
If you want to get fancy (but not really, as these dishes are like hangover food that even the most bachelors of bachelor can put together) you can make kimchi soup, kimchi (savory) pancakes, or kimchi fried rice!

Maangchi has a lot of great Korean recipes! Maangchi
and if you prefer vegetarian/vegan, The Korean Vegan is good! The Korean Vegan

I actually live above a 24hr Kimchi jjigae (soup) restaurant so the spicy smell often drifts through my window early in the morning...good thing I like that smell! Be warned however, a lot of Korean families keep kimchi in an entirely different refrigerator as it is a strong smell that can get into your other foods~

My mother had a client she also did respite care for. He always smelled of kimchi. But mom said sometimes his mother would send some with him to share and they loved it.

DH is on a stay-cation once work is done today!:woohoo: The kids get a week off school also. We do need to take the kids for new shoes and maybe some clothes. I need running shoes too. Mine are 2 years old now. Shopping with 2 adults should get the job done faster and we can go mid-week when the stores should have less people (that’s my goal covid or not! 😉) The weather is changing so I really do need to see what fits them. 🤪

Yesterday I got a ton done including buying and hanging my new blind. But then I did one stupid thing that sort of turned into a positive. I was adding an outlet cover to an outdoors outlet and accidentally hit a wire with the screw. Flash, zap, the outlet was toasted and I don’t know how to replace them myself. So I was checking on Nextdoor, a neighbor info app and found a freelance electrician who came out today and repaired it for $45. That is very cheap in the world of electricians. And now I am going to have him come back to switch out a half dozen two prong outlets for three prong. It just drives me crazy when I have to find an adapter to plug something in.

My second positive of the day was my notice from Ancestry that they had updated my ethnicity results. I am a bunch of things including Native American and this update says I am 4% Native American which is the same as previously and 1% “Indigenous people of South America” which is new and I think so interesting. I think it goes way way back, but I am going to see what I can find out.

Given me a whole of stuff to try..I really like korean food and have Bulgogi at least once a week when the BBQ weather has started.
And it is all quite simple to make.

Wowza, hey is adorable!! How many come? I love his sweet toes!!
It's always hard to know how many as they all look similar, unless they're tiny, and they don't hang out together.
He waved at me.. they do that. It's really cute.
