That sounds so nice artiemom ! Lelia's started sitting on my lap more, and of course I have to pee all the time it seems like, so it can never last too long! But enjoyable while it does.

I just bought a waffle maker because the boys are getting annoyed that I keep burning the pancakes. It has a "dum dum" light that tells you when they are fully cooked and ready to eat. And now youngest and I can actually eat two each because my skillet was only large enough for six pancakes and husband and oldest required two each.

I went and got my flu shot this morning. I guess I missed a rush but only one person ahead of me at the drug store where I got it.

DH and I just received a nice gift in the mail from my Grandma and Aunt since we won’t see them this fall like normal. Grandma’s will be 102 in November; so seeing her handwriting is precious.

I doubt she wants to get rid of me, she would have nobody to boss around! She just wants to control everything I guess. Heck if I know, she's crazy.

quarter-length shirts

I'm thinking of switching to these type of shirts, since I hate rolling up my sleeves to cook, wash dishes, and clean. Hope you are okay after your fall! That's scary.

I have a soft spot for orange babies.

I had another orange cat when I was a kid that looked just like Demi. His name was Butterscotch and he was so sweet! I'll have to post a pic of him someday.

My positive is, I'm drinking my new Cafe Bustelo Espresso and I really like it! It's not as good as Sumatra, but it's a fun change.

Money. My Aunt won’t let Grandma shop on QVC anymore. (For good reason! Although both are/were excellent shoppers. ) So a little money it is! I need some new clothes and I’m regularly working out in 2 year old athletic shoes; so that’s what I need anyway! For now it’s beings set aside for those things. I do have my eye on a Pusheen bathrobe that is adorable!! But we will see. I’ll probably get shoes before the clothes.

Oldest son's boss who owns one of the most popular restaurants in our county called me to get the recipe for what I made last night. Son must have told him about it and the boss thought it sounded so good he wanted the recipe. BBQ bacon cheddar stuffed pork chops for the win!!!

Thank you. I'll live, ha!! I'm ok but very sore. My right shoulder is still swollen but I cannot use ice because of the pain syndrome, it causes intense burning. Luckily I had on my go-to jacket, x-tra large men's navy, black and gray plaid cotton with a thick lining.
I've had an er response button since I was in my 40s.I didn't like wearing it around my neck or as a bracelet. The fabric made my
itch so I have it clipped on. Easy to place on clothes etc..

I would love to have Chrissie. I think Conrad is his daddy because their faces are so similar and he lets Chrissie eat
first, darling Connie. Chrissie is buff while the rest of the gang are orange.He lets me pet him but he is hesitant still.
That's ok, I can wait.

susanm9006 I am selling the BearClaw boots I bought last February on sale. I just can't wear them with the 100% wool cuff.
I put them on FB Marketplace.I looked at my listing and saw I had posted the size as 20 instead of 10, ha!! I have a new pair that is water resistant called "Never Wet" but not waterproof.

MoochNNoodles Maybe you could have a small social distanced get together in your yard, meet neighbors, welcome the new ones? I bet you could meet some really nice people.

Hope the weather is nice enough to use the deck today. I'm taking things slowly.

EDIT: I just saw a reverse skunk in my backyard!! I've seen one before. She was a mama!!

My positive for the day other than being off work today is that I got over 8 hours of sleep last night. Fell asleep watching TV. Husband told me to go to bed around 9. Took a shower and stayed up until 10. Woke up around 6:30 this morning.

Well that's always a great gift! That way you can get something you really need. I need a pair of sneakers too, but I want to find a washable pair and don't know what to get.

My positive is I finally figured out how to simmer on the electric stove. Count 3 notches after Low. I had such a hard time figuring it out because there are no numbers on the notches and cookbooks just say simmer. So I had to play around with it and practice on my own. My meal came out perfect and I was so happy. It was just one of those Knorr Sides packets, but that's my skill level right now.

I took DS for his yearly eye exam today. He did fine there. And then went from asking if they could just make him new glasses in his same frames to getting super excited to find the kids version of DH’s glasses. DS has my coloring but resembles DH more and more as he gets older. I cannot wait to get pictures in their matching glasses. It was truly adorable! He used to be my biggest fan but now its DAD! I think he gets tired of all the estrogen he’s around all day or something. Even the cat is a girl!

Oh and the other positive? The glasses (including lenses) were 50% off. I just need to submit it to our insurance for more reimbursement.

I’ve met several of our neighbors; but there aren’t too many being on a country road. We are kind of spread out. There are no other kids either! On either side are single women. The people across the street are...odd. They always sell veggies and jams and things. When we first moved in one of my pastors wives saw they had collard greens so she went to get some. The old farmer (who has since passed away) told her the jam would make her horny. They have a couple trailers and a camper the whole family lives in. I don’t think they are dangerous; just... .

We used to have great neighbors! They even had kids the same ages as mine. The wife and I would sit out back and the kids were best buddies. We could freely correct our kids with fear of judgement if one acted up. If we needed a hand; they were there. I miss them still. They moved across the country on me.

My newest neighbor seems very nice. I still need a can of pumpkin so I can make send over some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cake.

My positive is my JCPenney jeans order is in. I don't really need any more jeans, but I'm obsessed. I hadn't bought any in over 20 years, but now can't stop buying them.

My positive is I discovered that cutting back on sugar helps me feel less stressed. I went from 4TB vanilla cappuccino powder per cup, down to 2TB per cup. Things will always be stressful living with my mother, but anything I can do to feel better is a positive.

It's stopped raining for now but still so humid. I wiped off the chair, going to see if I can read for a bit outside.
Regan, the reverse skunk, was here again this morning. She is so beautiful. Connie and little tabby were here
as well. I hope Chrissie comes soon.

Tuesday will be a beautiful day with temps in low 70s lows will be in the 40!! Ah...cool crisp air!!

Most of my raspberries have a long ways to go but there enough ripe ones that I could stand at the bushes and have a snack before finishing the lawn mowing. Raspberries seem to taste better right at the bush than they ever do when you bring them indoors.
