Does you car demand food in the morning or just want you up. How does your cat wake you up in the morning and why?

Mine wakes me up every morning by attacking/ tackling my legs/feet. It starts with the pounce then she dives in full blown attack mode bites, claws and death kicks n all. When my feet are under the blanket, I can bear it for a few seconds(hoping nothing gets torn)until she finds her way under then I'm up you win. She wants food, play time, walks and all.

She usually wakes me up just by being super loud in general! She'll use her litter box and scratch at the litter really loud, or run around the room playing with the noisiest ball she can find, or she'll race around the room, jumping on and off of my bed

When they were younger, Iris and Lily would walk back and forth across me until I gave up and got up. They’re 16 now and both sleep in. I get up before they do! (Actually, they’re really bad about waking me in the middle of the night for cuddles.) Mocha doesn’t bother me, either. She waits patiently for me to get up and then wants pets and belly rubs. She’s six but was three and semi-feral when I adopted her. There are some typical cat behaviors that she just never seems to have learned.

i get a cold little nose and whiskers tickling my face when graycie wakes me up. or else its her 11 pounds curled upon my chest purring but thats only when i am on couch status cause my girlfriend is up late doing homework. she got banned from the bed room during sleeping hours for being a toe biter as a kitten. kitten fangs right into the corner of your big toe where nail meets flesh is painful way to wake up.:hmmm:

I'm the late sleeper at home, and I observed one of our cats do experiments on me. He figured out that biting me on the back of my arm just gets him yelled at, so he stopped that. My favorite was when he'd drop a toy near my face and then drape his belly over my nose to bat at the toy (though he learned I would go back to sleep). And then I've seen him bite my toe slowly, with increasing pressure, until he reached just the right point where it would effectively drive me out of bed but not so that I'd be mad.

Charlie actually does have a snooze alarm! Charlie taps me with his paws. If that doesn't work, the taps turn into pokes: "Hey. Hey you. MOM." If I still manage to ignore that, he'll start pawing at me with both paws in rapid succession "Wake uuuuupppppp!!!". If I growl "MMMM-nnn!" at him, he'll settle down beside me and purr really loudly for a few minutes before starting back up again. That's my snooze alarm.

Off tangent, but can I just say that I do a double take every time I see your handle? My other cat's name is Tobermory, and I've only met one other person who understood the reference.

Blame it on my English lit degree. :)

When we first adopted Carleton he didn't make a peep, he would just come in our bedroom, sit and stare at us. Now that he's the prince of the house, he comes in and lets out a huge yowl sound which he proudly repeats if we don't get out of bed. :ohwell:
