Hi all!

I've had to move my vet appointment for my cats second round of FelV vaccine to a week later than it was initially. The second round of vaccinations is supposed to be given "three to four weeks" after the initial one. The initial vaccination was done on Monday 13th July. My new appointment (12th August) is just two days over four weeks from the initial vaccination. The receptionist seemed to be a little unsure but said "it should be fine" but now I am concerned I shouldn't have rescheduled. I've definitely lost my original appointment now as my Vet is absolutely booked up and my appointment will be going to someone else now. Would anyone be able to shed some light on if my cats are still fine to be vaccinated on 12th August without issue?

You could always speak to your vet (not the receptionist) and ask him just to be absolutely sure.

Unfortunately the vet is absolutely stacked out at the moment so trying to get through the receptionist to the vet has proved impossible with regard to another issue.

You can have a chat with your vet when you take him in next week but its only a couple of days over the 4 weeks. Let us know what your vet says..
