Good to see you again, M maggiedemi . You've been missed. 🤗
It's been hot and muggy here, so I haven't had anything hot to drink in a while. :sunshine:

Currently hooked on Brisk iced tea, though, which I guess still fits the topic of this thread. :drinking:

I've been drinking root beer to rehydrate myself after my walk, but I think I'm gonna go back to hot coffee. I just don't like anything else as much. I'm like, I wish this was coffee.

Dad fixed the microwave! So I had the same thing- half mug sumatra dark roast coffee, half macadamia milk, 3 TB french vanilla cappuccino.
I have cashew milk to try once this is gone!

I'm actually sipping on a Cafe Mocha right now. It's rainy today, so cooler, and I was craving something chocolate, so hot drink it is.

That root beer sounds good too, though. Might have to treat myself to one before the summer's over.

Just made myself a cup of coffee with almond milk. I have the Califia Farms brand, from California--refrigerated. I really like this brand.

It is naturally sweet, and creamier, than what I am accustomed to.

I guess it depends on brand. Never realized that. It is unsweetened but seems a bit sweet and a bit thicker than Silk or Almond Breeze or even Trader Joes brand.

It is a Coffee day.. Waiting for the storm... humid, dark humid, a bit foggy. I did a lot yesterday, so a stay inside day. The storm should hit later this afternoon. We will be getting wind more than anything else. I think I will be resting today. I did a lot yesterday.

It will be a cup of tea later, and perhaps a cup of decaf Twingings Green Tea....

I had family visiting- so drank coffee with vanilla creamer all week since that's what my brother likes. I now put a spoon of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder in also daily. And sometimes cinnamon.
My sister-in-law likes iced tea so I made refrigerator iced tea- was going to do sun tea but when looking it up read "don't do sun tea" because it grows bacteria sitting out in the sun! And all those years I did sun tea.

Sounds like my Cafe Mocha. :)

Never heard of sun tea, but it can't be too prone to bacteria, if you've done it for years with no issues.

I drink coffee stronger than your feelings
Hee hee. That sounds fabulous. 👍

This morning was half sumatra dark roast, half cashew milk, 3 TB french vanilla cappuccino powder. I used the milk foamer my brother sent me to foam it up.

The macadamia and cashew milks were fun to try, but not as good as almond milk. I'm getting Oatmilk from Aldi on Friday so stay tuned!

I tried pea milk once, that was really good, but like $5 for a small box. I will try it again if I can find it cheaper.

You leave the water with the tea bags in it to steep in the sun. Usually in a big glass jug like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JYTNYN/?tag=thecatsite It's so good. I've made it many times over the years. I don't think it's prone to bacteria unless you add sugar while it's steeping. I've never done that

I stay away from the pea milk, aka Ripple. I have a weird digestive system and have tons of food restrictions.

Had my tea with almond milk for breakfast; now drinking some iced coffee from the takeout place next door. Got it black — they do not have any non dairy milks. Took it home, adding my own almond milk to it. Yum 😋

Ugh, woke up to a migraine this morning but caffeine really helps it for me. Thankfully I have a good supply of fresh beans in the house so made a strong cup of black coffee.
Oof. Migraines. I (used to) feel your pain. I had them for years, and the doctors had me stop different foods to see if they were triggers, wine, chocolate, and caffeine among them. No caffeine!!! No chocolate!!! Eek! None of it mattered—whew!—so I went back to sucking down multiple cups a coffee a day. I hope yours go away like mine eventually did. Migraines are brutal.

I feel for ya! I get them too, fortunately not very often. For me it's ibuprofen, heat pack, glass of water, back to bed... usually I can face the world again in an hour or so. Hope you're feeling better!

My trigger is weather, e.g. storms, humidity, barometric pressure, etc. I do have a prescription but try not to take it unless the migraine is really bad. I knew I had to take it today but fortunately the med. and my coffee seemed to help. :crossfingers:

Thanks, all better now and hopefully I won't have a repeat tomorrow. The weather has been crisp and cool which is my kind of temps. but it started heating up again today. 🙄 I like to be in a dark room with very little noise when I get a migraine. And, of course, an affectionate feline companion always helps too. :lovecat2:

In addition to my morning cup of joe I had an iced Americano this afternoon with an extra shot of espresso. That did the trick!

oooooppsss..... I am cheating.. having a vodka and tonic, tonight~~~ busy day... Geoffrey vomited on my dresser---more furballs and his dry food...ugh..yuck... had to take the long pretty runner off, clean the V off, and then wash the entire thing, and the 4- one dollar bills, which he hit with the V..... decided to dust my entire bedroom, really wel--- it needed dusting and I was doing the dresser, so may as well keep going... that is after my walk, reg morning stuff, iced coffee, dumping trash, brushing Geoffrey, supper, filling out my mail-in ballot, and mailing that and a bill....

Also a visit from one for the maintenance guys about something which I wold like done in here...and physically talking with the head of maintenance... and a phone call... and another short walk....

a lot for me...at leasts since quarantine...

Yes! Ripple is the only pea milk I've found so far. It's so expensive. Have you guys ever tried Hemp Milk? The reviews are good, they say it's slightly sweet tasting.

This morning I had Sumatra dark roast with cashew milk and 3 TB french vanilla cappuccino powder.

After my walk I had a Cherry Vanilla Coke. It was pretty good and tastes sorta like coffee! Probably the vanilla in it.

After dinner I had the same as this morning, Sumatra with cashew milk and vanilla cappuccino powder.

Where all my coffee peeps at? I know you drank something....☕

Morning- Great Value Sumatra dark roast with 3 TB Hills Bros French Vanilla Cappuccino powder. Didn't add any milk.

After my walk- Barq's Root Beer. This is the only root beer with caffeine in it, I think.

Right now- Warm Aldi Oatmilk with 3 TB Hills Bros French Vanilla Cappuccino powder

Since I have been very tired, from all my cleaning. I am back to coffee in the morning with almond milk. I need the extra jolt of caffeine to keep me going.

I am using a Trader Joes Keurig pod. It is good coffee, and not all that expensive.
It does feel strange to be back to coffee. I find it strong. But the caffeine is needed.

I am rhinking of trying the rice milk. This week I will be done with the Califa Almond milk. I have a box of rice milk in the cabinet. I am wondering if I should try the rice milk?

Anyone try the rice milk? Wondering about flavor and strength, creaminess..

I'll be drinking extra coffee today that's for sure. Up all night with severe thunderstorms. And no I"m not scared of the storms, it was just so loud it rudely interrupted my sleep. I'm not one to take naps because then I have problems falling asleep later on and the cycle continues. Ugh. I drink mine black, no sugar and so strong you can stand a spoon up in it. And hot.

Yes, of course you should try it if you already have it! I've had rice milk before. It's okay, but not as good as almond milk.

This morning I had Hazelnut coffee with 2TB French Vanilla Cappuccino powder. I'm trying to see if I can get by with 2TB instead of 3TB because I went through all 6 cannisters that my brother sent me!

After my walk I had Mug root beer. I think this is my favorite brand of root beer.
