It's better today than it was a month ago. But supply chains aren't back to normal yet. There's still more online retailers who don't have it than do. And when they do get it, it goes quickly. Presumably they aren't getting as much as they requested.

I just emailed Rawz through their website to find out if they are still experiencing these issues. I ordered a case of Rawz rabbit more than two weeks ago from Bernal Beast, one of their approved online retailers, and have yet to receive it.

In the meantime, to complicate matters, Bernal Beast has shut down its online operation but says it will fulfill all existing orders. I have emailed Bernal Beast several times and gotten only a restatement of the UPS tracking code, which shows that a shipping label was generated 10 days ago but the package has not gone anywhere. I am trying to decide whether to just cancel the order and appeal to my credit card company for a refund.

The local place near me said they don't have a shortage anymore.

I have been ordering from Incredible Pets in Sacramento almost weekly now. Because my fur pig goes through so much. 🐽🐽🐽

And I haven’t seen a shortage in at least a month or so.

Thanks for the updates, kittyluv387 kittyluv387 and daftcat75 daftcat75 ! I see that my usual vendor, Cherrybrook, has it in stock too.

Looks like it's time to officially cancel the Bernal Beast order and dispute the charge to my credit card, which should not have been made if they are not able or willing to fulfill the order.

Bernal Beast, The Cat Connection, and Cherrybrook all have done that one time or another to me. But at the time, there was no other option but to let it ride. They all eventually came through when their distributors came through for them.

The lengths I go and the money I spend to keep this one fed. 🤦🏼‍♂️🐽🐽😻

Cherrybrook has always been very responsive to my inquiries; I think highly of their customer service.

Bernal Beast, as I mentioned, just redirected me to the UPS tracking link they had already sent me, which showed (and still shows) that a label has been generated but the order has not gone anywhere. Not helpful. It's obvious that they're in some kind of transition phase right now, with new owners and having completely shut down their website, but I am out of patience.

In the interim I ended up ordering a dozen small cans of the new Freely rabbit from Chewy. It's as expensive as Rawz, and I don't like the ingredients quite as much (Freely includes peas and agar-agar), but Chewy's customer service is top-notch. For Rawz, I'll stick with Cherrybrook in the future.

I like Cherrybrook. Cherrybrook did contact me when they took an order they couldn’t fill. At the time, I had no other option but to let it ride until they could fill it. I also think highly of Hearty Pet in MD. My favorite though is Incredible Pets in Sac. Free shipping by USPS. Always arrives in just a few days. I placed another order yesterday. It will probably arrive Tuesday or Wednesday.

I have probably ordered from all of the Rawz online retailers at some point. I bookmarked them in a folder and open them all in tabs to find out who has Rawz rabbit at the time. Now that’s not much an issue anymore.

Thanks for the recs of other Rawz sources! I've had Incredible Pets bookmarked for a while; I'll have to give them a try.

One of the pluses (for me) of ordering from Cherrybrook is that they're in a neighboring state. It generally takes just a couple of days for their shipments to get to me.

Incredible Pets is just a couple hours from me. Not that I'm making that drive anytime soon. But that's why they can send it USPS and it arrives usually in a couple of days. Since you're closer to Cherrybrook, have a look at Hearty Pet as a backup.

To follow up and to give Bernal Beast its due: On Sunday I emailed Bernal Beast to officially cancel the order and request a refund. Yesterday they sent a notice that the order had been canceled and they very promptly issued the refund.

Meanwhile, today I got a reply from someone at Rawz, who said that I should be able to find the rabbit pate in stock at Cherrybrook or Incredible Pets (and indeed, it appears to be in stock at both of them).

I shifted Krista to half and half with the Rabbit Pate and the Rabbit and Pumpkin Pate so that we could more easily weather out some of this supply nonsense. Because it doesn't seem like the rabbit and pumpkin pate has these issues. But along the way, I also switched to 3 oz cans which also seem easier to find. Mixing the two flavors from 3 oz cans together produces a smoother food that's easier for my toothless one cat food fight. The chunkier texture in the 5.5 oz means more of it gets flung. 😹🤦‍♂️

Thanks for the tips! I don't know why it didn't occur to me to check for the smaller cans! I just ordered two cases of the 3-ounce cans from Incredible Pets. I will have to try out the Rabbit and Pumpkin on Sylvie too; I like your idea of mixing it with the regular Rabbit Pate. Sylvie has a grand total of seven teeth, so a smooth texture is good for her, too.

Out of stock at several places again. Hoping for the more affordable options to comeback in a few weeks.

Today my local pet store said they have been trying to order Rawz Rabbit and have been unable to get any... :sniffle:
