I hope all is going well!
Number two and three are out! Two came out and then number three basically shot out right after!! Within a minute or so 😻 she’s doing great so far, all are nursing and the placentas are out!

The fourth one came out breech, she broke the sack whilst it’s feet was hanging out of her 😣 made me so nervous but she finally pushed them out and they were limp, rubbed them with a towel facing downwards and they’ve started to breathe, really scared me!!! They’re a solid grey colour too

How is everyone!!! I pray everything went well, you both are probably exhausted. 5, that is so exciting!
Lil is doing amazing!! She’s ate a couple of pouches of food and all the kittens are nursing well 😍 I’ll attach some photos! I ended up staying up until 2.30am just to make sure no more were coming and all were settled, thanks all for your help with this. I’ll keep the thread open to update with photos!

im now trying where ever possible to alternate the ones with the lower weights to help them catch up, also have a small kitten feeding syringe if needed

The weights are good. How much have they gained, or is this the starting point?

Thought I’d update everyone with some photos! All are gaining weight well, the grey and white who is the smallest was the lightest initially but is gaining the correct weight in grams per day 👍🏻😊

Is there anything I should look out in particular in the next few weeks? I keep scaring myself reading about like cat flu etc! Just because I heard a couple sneeze a couple of times, however it’s not constant, no discharge, no coughing, no wheezing and no struggle to feed. Plus it wasn’t as if it was ‘sneezing fits’ just one or two at a time.

This is a very exciting thread! Very cute kittens - just adorable. I am so happy that you are safe along with your cat and her babies. Great job with everything - totally impressed. Not sure I would have had it all together myself! I will enjoy seeing you update this thread when you can. Really shocked that she was pregnant at adoption, but she totally ended up with the right person to take care of everything!!

They are so adorable - look at those tiny claws. We would love to help you with the genders. Love that gray and white one.

As for the 'cat flu', it is VERY common among kittens, but usually after their eyes open. Their eyes get really gunky and need to be cleaned. They recover much faster with an antibiotic eye salve from the vet, I just smeared a little along their closed eyes, right along the slit.
Just watch that all are gaining weight, especially little grey and white. Extremely precious!
