Good morning.

Do you have a middle name? Do you like it? Were you named after someone? If not, why did your parents give you that name?

I have a middle name, but I'm not going to tell you what it is because it doesn't suit me at all. I don't like it! I'm glad it's my middle name, not my first name. I don't think I was named after anyone, I think my parents just chose it because they liked the sound of it.

Middle names just make filling out forms and passport applications take longer than it needs to be.

Yes I have 2. Beth Christina and I like both. Christina is my confirmation name and I chose it.
My dad chose Mia, don't know why....I don't think it was a very common name when I was born.

Norachan Norachan You must tell us!! It's your question, hee, hee

I honestly don't care for my middle name. Also, nope. I'm not sure why my parents named me Dustin.

Yes, I have a middle name - Anne. Parents just liked it, I guess since I am not named after anyone as far as I know. I don't dislike or like it - it just is. The only thing I didn't like about my name when I was younger is the spelling. Instead of the normal Linda Ann, my parents spelled it Lynda Anne. I was told I was to sensitive in school when I would correct the teacher for misspelling it.

My middle name is James, after my dad. Every one called him Jim. I've never heard of a shortened middle name, have you?

Mine is Lynn, which is also my paternal grandmother's middle name. The only thing I don't really like about it is that people tend to think it's part of my first name. I can't tell you how many times in school I was called Katie Lynn or even Katelynn. I'm willing to bet my grandmother has had the same issue, because her first name is Carol.

As for my first name, I think my parents just really liked it. I do get asked if it's short for Katherine (it's not), but other than that, I like it.

Yup I have two middle names - Suzanne, which is my grandmothers name. And Kastahelmi, my Finnish name. It means "Dew Drop" or "Morning Dew Pearl"

I like them. I like the uniqueness of one and the connection to my grandmother on the other!

Nope, no middle name. Growing up everyone I knew had a middle name so I felt cheated. When I asked my parents they really didn't have a viable answer. :dunno: However, I made sure to give my children a middle name.

My middle name is Gayle, after an aunt I never knew. I don’t like or dislike it, never really use it at all. You’re right, it‘s just an extra box to fill out on forms.

I do have a middle name and I do like it. I did have a great aunt with my middle name but highly doubt I was named after her, my mom just liked the name.
My user name is my monogram (first, middle and last), so see if you can guess what it is!

I have two middle names. They are Erin and Faith. My original name was Sunshine Morticia Erin Last Name. My grandmother, thankfully, flipped out and convinced them to change it. She gave a list of three names with reasons why they should be my first name instead of Sunshine. My parents went with all three. Of course, Erin was already one of those names. I do not exactly like "Faith." My family is staunchly Catholic, and it was kind of expected that I would become a nun. I assumed it and planned for it up until I was 13/14. Now, I am an Atheistic Pagan, and "Faith" does not really feel okay. Oh, well. My grandma saved me from Sunshine!

I actually use my middle names often. In fact. every time I sign my name, I use my middle initials.

One of my sisters had four middle names given at birth then, like one of my other sisters, added her saint name legally after she turned 18. I think it is a little redundant since each of us already has a saint name as a middle name. Mine was Hyacintha. I do not hate it.

My middle name is Snow. It's an old family surname, I'm told. But. . .my last name is such that it puts you in mind of a certain Disney Princess :/. So that's weird. My mom says they didn't pick up on that until it was too late, but how could you not? Plus my mom is fond of pointing out that I DO have "skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as dark as ebony". So now I'm suspicious she did it on purpose. Oh well.

I was named after my grandfather's brother, which makes me a II instead of a Jr. And I'm not fond of my middle name, so I won't repeat it here.

My middle name is Louise and I prefer it to my first name (Alice). It's after my grandmother, who also shared the same middle name - my mum wanted Rose to be my middle name which was my grandmother's first name, but my aunt used it for my cousin, so I got Louise instead.
