I posted here before about our little Jacob. I found him on a parking lot and he has been with us for about a week and a half. The plan is to have him neutered and vaccinated and adopt him out but ... he decided to make himself at home. I had foster kittens before and even though my 3 adult cats ( almost age 3) are usually cat friendly they are not exactly rolling out the red carpet ... This time ... within a few days they are all sleeping and licking the kitten. They play with him - gently ... and the little one seems more attached to the cats than us. The kitten enjoys to be pet especially when he is tired but he isn't a clingy baby, enjoys sleeping on his own and even though he occasionally comes and says " Hi" he much prefers to play with the cats. He isn't hyper for a kitten and very careful with his play with the adults ( and us). Our clingy and shy cat isn't stressed and feels secure enough to play around him and still get her hugs. Jacob just seems to fit well and everyone likes him - it is like he has always been here... We never planned to have 3 cats - the two girls were a foster fail and I go between " 4 cats are just a crazy wild idea ... " and ... " ... 4 cats are just one more than 3 and my cats seems to really enjoy the little one " . Finding a home for a kitten is easy ... finding a GOOD home for a kitten is not as I had to learn in the past. I did not anticipate this ... I was prepared for all kinds of problems having the kitten here ... aggression, socialization, crazy behaviors ... but not some little dude to walk in here and be ... no problem at all lol ... I try to stay strong and look for a new home for him but ... oh boy ...
