Hi.

Cat is 15. She is normally a very good eater, 4 pouches of any flavour food with dry food for senior cats and dental treats daily with one tin of tuna a week, and one small cooked chicken breast a week

She regularly sees a vet. Nails cut, flea and worming treatment etc. Everything all up to date.

The last few days she hasnt been eating much at all....
The only thing she is eating is two flavours of food but they are both fish
'ocean fish' and 'salmon'
Can she just have the fish flavours or does she actually need other things like beef, chicken and what not?

Shes off her dental treats, although she has ate abit of plain chicken breast this week

Thank you

There's info in this TCS article:

Muscle meat such as chicken or rabbit is best for a cat. Fish is ok but more like a occasional meal for a cat. A temporary diet of fish based foods is ok but you should try to include other proteins back into the diet. Try sneaking other proteins into the fish based food.

Have you contacted the vet and asked for advice? A senior cat not eating much or being very picky about food may warrant a check up.

Many canned foods do not have fish but do have fish oil which does make it smell fishy
