Wowza, that is a huge undertaking, Susan!! Are you still metal detecting at the lake?
Unfortunately, lakes here are closed this summer, so no detecting. First summer in 13 years I haven’t. And the gym still isn’t safe in my opinion. So I walk mornings for my legs and will continue to shovel rocks in the afternoon for my arms. Have to stay fit somehow.

Mine have always liked to snooze on the kitchen sink rug because there is a heat vent that comes out there. My solution for a cat in the way when I needed the sink was to gently grab the rug and pull rug and cat out of the way. They never seemed to mind, or to wake up.
I do the same. My kitty loves the attention of hogging up prime real estate in the kitchen.

Love kitty's name, hee, hee! and the pic of Bay Bridge. I have a pic of myself sanding next to
it when I had a tour of the city 23 years ago and fell in love with it's charm. Why was Chairman
mad you?
She got back from my mother’s where she had a few accidents. So she’s been in the penalty box sleeping in her cat tree instead of her favorite, with me. She was understandably not pleased about it.

Your question made me realize though she responds more to positive reinforcement. So she probably would have gone back to her usual habits if I’d let her continue with her favorite habits. Cat brain!

Poor Cal was hissed at and run off the walkway by Mama cat yesterday morning. You should have
seen the look on her face, she was so hurt. She wanted to view babies but Mama cat would not allow
her anywhere near neighbor's deck or underneath I've been feeding her every morning when it becomes
light enough for skunks and raccoons to be asleep. She has fleas; can I apply treatment while she is nursing?

Going to be hot today and sunny in the am, then may have storms in the afternoon. Kaylee replanted
my Beefsteak tomatoes in a big pot with Organic MiracleGro soil. There are over 15 seedlings so hopefully
I'll have 15 tomatoes. I wish I would've planted Early Girl's early (hee) in the season as they did amazing
when I planted them in 2012. Also replanted Impatiens in Organic soil.in a blue pot.
I dream of having a tomato patch one day! For now I have windowsill basil which is going gangbusters. They are so thirsty though - they remind me to drink more water all the time. Love, Chairman Meow’s private chef (me)

My positive is we took a dead bush out of the corner of the yard where we had trouble growing anything. We gave up on another bush and planted grass seed instead. We now have lush green grass and have been watering it religiously.

hee, hee, prime real estate!:flail:
Yes, other high-value territory are any and all headboards, any chair or stool that are favorites of mine, and any surface I clean regularly. It's all about elevation, territory and the all important putting me to work. Love, Chairman Meow's personal attendant.

Was hot and sunny yesterday and my tomatoes loved it!! Rain today and we need it. I planted some
Impatiens just now, in pots, using the organic MiracleGro. I hope some of them thrive so I can place
them in shady areas.

Mama cat or so I think she is a mama, came for breakfast early, but it got soaked so she had a second
brekkie. I saw her sitting on my Adirondack chair like she owned it, ha!! She looked pretty sitting on the
navy pillow with a pink one behind her.

Going to finish Syndrome E, I hope they translate his other books. This is the first in the Frank Slavok/Lucie
Hennebelle series originally published in France in 2010, then translated and published in 2012 I hope there
are more with these two detectives.

Washing throws now, then smalls.

We are taking leave and going away for a few days break now travel restrictions are more at ease. A domestic holiday of course, but I'll be glad to get out of my town!
I’m also breaking in my hiking boots tomorrow for a quick getaway. I’m hoping the weather holds up and I’ll get to see a sunrise.

I just got this book in the mail from AbeBooks for a few dollars.
My husband loves AbeBooks and just turned one of our daughters onto them too.

My positive is I did some chores in the house this morning because it was too hot and humid to go outdoors for a walk. Our state went into a new Phase yesterday so some of the restaurants and shops are open indoors with limited capacity. We stopped at a Starbucks since they put their patio furniture back outside and snatched a table with an umbrella in the shade. It was so nice to get an ice cold coffee drink and enjoy sitting outdoors. We're planning to go for a long walk after dinner when hopefully it will be a bit cooler.:walk:

Where my cats are
I’ve purchased from Thrift Books before. I’ll have to try Abe books. I think all my Shel Silverstein books came from Thriftbooks.

Today’s positive is that I slept really long for two nights in a row. Last night I had Mooch in my lap with the recliner out and she fussed at me when we woke up there at 4 am! We were so cozy! 🥰 It felt good to get solid sleep!

Was very quiet here yesterday...didn't have to use ear buds to rest. The cat I am feeding may not be
a mama. My neighbor told me she was but I am not certain about it.

My tomatoes got a good soaking yesterday and this morning. They're looking good
but may have to put some in another pot.

Sun will return today but very high dew points and humidly, so I doubt I'll spend much
time outside; lots to read and movies to watch. 🎬📚

Mia6 Mia6 High dew points and humidity here as well. Enjoy your reading and watching!

Love midday snuggles if I lay down in bed in the afternoon. Everyone comes to see me. Katrina laying on my legs, Persia against my arm with her butt in my face, and Isabelle next to be on her towel bed. <3 So relaxing!

I just got this book in the mail from AbeBooks for a few dollars. It’s in mint condition and I can’t wait to get to the fish market. View attachment 340754
I remember watching the Romagnoli's Table Series on PBS. I think it was from the 70's or so.. Really delicious food.. Enjoy...
If possible, post some recipes.

I have three positives today:
1. I finished the book I was reading this morning. :yess:
2. I went kayaking. The weather was perfect for it. The air was warm and the sun was hidden by the clouds so it wasn't too hot. It wasn't windy and the water was almost as smooth as glass. The sky was decorated with beautiful clouds that looked incredibly against the dark green pines. I wish I took a picture. It was amazing. :cloud9:
3. It rained a bit, which is great. The week's forecast says there will be more rain. :bliss:
