Look at this stinkin’ cute duck family!! I’ve gotten the biggest kick out of watching these babies grow (although there were originally 10 and now there are seven :( ). See the one trying out his stubby little wings? And you should see them making tiny hops in the air trying to catch bugs! They make me smile. :redheartpump:

Ohhhh....love them!!! I would love kissing their sweet bodies!! An old boyfriend's neighbors had a duck for
a pet. She would follow his dog everywhere, so cute. Everywhere he went, she was right behind him.
He was an Irish setter and I thought they were hunters but not him. Are you able to pet them?

Rain all day yesterday but we needed it. Kaylee bought organic MiracleGro as it was
on sale. We'll plant my 15 beefsteak tomatoes that I grew from seed. Should I place them
all in one big pot? I'm going to replant the Impatiens as well. They are not blooming. We
used soil from The Dollar Tree, hee, hee. The Daisy plant is doing well but still no blooms.

I've been feeding a black and brown tabby with an injured left eye. I think she may be the
mother of babies. Cal is afraid of her because her point man, the Vincie girl, is at the Bridge.
I told her she is still watching her, going ahead to make sure everything is safe up ahead.:rbheart:

Rain again today.....Kaylee will do laundry, clean bathrooms, dust and vacuum. Maybe I can
read underneath umbrella if it's not lightning.

How cute, a duck for a pet! Do you know what kind of duck it was? One of my old friends college has chickens and other animals. It was really surprising for me to find out! Maybe because I grew up in a very suburban area and only one friend had slightly more land with a horse, goats, and chickens. I remember walking the goats down her street. Low traffic because it was a dead end street with only a few other houses. She went to knock on someone's door who we were asking to hang, and I'm on the street with the goats. The goat starts pooping and pellets go everywhere! Haha, I thought it was amusing, and like, what am I supposed to do?? I can't stop it! 😂

Where was the miraclegro on sale??

The beefsteak tomatoes should get big. I'm new to vegetable container gardening, but the large tomato plant I have is recommended to be in minimum 3 gallon pot. Although, bigger is better, especially for tomatos. Larger pots hold more water, which is important for tomatos and sometimes when the plant is bigger and during hot days need to be watered 2x per day. Mine hasn't gotten that big yet, but that is what I've read. I bought a 5 gallon food grade safe bucket from a hardware store and drilled some holes in it. The cost was only a few dollars! Plus there is a nice handle, if you need to move the pot.

Reading outside sounds relaxing! I'm outside right now as my laptop graduation present came last week.

My positive: it is such a beautiful mild day today! So mild, if the sun is not shining, I need something light to cover up when on the porch, which is super duper cozy! Mom and I are also going for a walk soon. It helps motivate me to get outside when we walk together, so I'm glad she said yes to going today. My vegetable plants are growing and green. I will be buying tomato specific fertilizer soon, which will also be used for the strawberry plants.
I wouldn't put them all in one pot, they get too big.

My positive is that I'm sitting outside listening to squirrels discussing something at great lengths lol

No they will be big. Here are my tomatoes today. The second from the left is a “Big Beef”. In those pots they are taller than me.

The tallest are probably around 6’ now. I should measure but it’s hot right now. Not as humid as yesterday but still toasty out.

what type of discussion the squirrel talk was!
Not superheated as much as a really long, ongoing, mostly low volume chatter and chirp and squeak, I think between mom and older siblings, maybe?

I had no idea squirrels had such a wide vocabulary and range of sounds lol

You give me hope, neely neely ! I tried to go to Trader Joe’s about a month ago but left because the line was too long. It’s probably been three months since I’ve been in the store, and I have a TJ list. I actually qualify for what I fondly call geezer hour (but only geezers can call it that :) ) which is 8-9 a.m. so I may try again and go early.

What movies are on your list to watch?
The Grudge, Pride and Prejudice, 2 part HBO with Keira Knightly, About Last Night 1986, and I think I may
watch my fave Pretty in Pink. Just saw this now, sorry. Didn't watch that day but will. I also want to get
Footloose, the new one.

I don't think my tomatoes will be ready. I have 15 or so tomatoes, not plants, I think. Kaylee looked for plants
at Home Depot but there were none.

No rain today!! I had been spoiled by so many days of zero rain then 2 days of it.. Wait, is this really Ohio?? I'm not in Spain?😛

My dreadful neighbor is moving!! Gave her 30 day notice to landlord Monday night, yelling at her, saying, "I hate Mia, having to be quiet because of her!! I hate you!! I'm taping this!! I'll sue your ass!!" June said, "Good Luck to you" and hung up. June called me in the morning and said, "Mia you were right, either she is on drugs, "psycho":eek:r both. Do not talk with her, stay away" Not easy to do when you live in a duplex. What frightens me is she spent 6 months in jail for felony assault, beating the man who she said beat her. She threw heavy objects at his skull. If you don't hear from me you'll know why, ha!!

So I am happy about her moving but will be on edge till that happens. She made a bunch of loud noise yesterday just to vex me.
I've been using ear buds when I rest or sleep. Will have a lot of sun again today!!

Mia6 Mia6 Glad your neighbor is moving. Please stay safe until then. Sounds like she has anger issues...

Yesterday the windows were open all day and right before bed due to mild temperatures. There was a peaceful, heavy rain, no wind, and it was very relaxing hearing the pitter patters and low light from the setting sun through the windows. Today is a little warmer, but still mild.

Isabelle has been extra cuddly this morning and yesterday. She is also tolerating Katrina laying next to her again and even had her front paws touching Katrina's tail/back legs willingly.

Today is much cooler and a lot less humid. So much so I can MAKE my kids go outside for a while.

I sorted through ALL my kids school papers from last year and have the tests, writing samples, etc packed for storage. The rest is going into the recycling. Thats one big step I procrastinated on so I'm glad to have it done.😅

I know someone is probably secretly sick of hearing these out of me BUT this is the Positive Thread so.... I just saved $55 on DS's writing and grammar program for next year. :bliss: The publisher came out with a new edition between when DD used it and now and didn't have the first edition workbook to go with it available anymore. I found it on another site and ordered it right away because once they are gone; they are gone. 😅

I think by now you've all heard about it every time I get a good deal on something for school. But last year I spent well below the average cost of homeschooling. I get no tax breaks (thats just a statement; not a complaint) and I put so much time into finding things that I really am very excited when I do!! Now if I can get that $140 history curriculum down I can really party. :paperbag:

I had my first doctor appointment today since the pandemic started. It was for a dental cleaning at my periodontist and I was curious about their safety precautions. I knew this particular doctor would do everything by the book and go above and beyond to make sure her patients were safe. I felt completely comfortable and, best of all, no cavities or periodontal issues. :yess:

They are letting us have a race meeting this weekend.
Cant wait..so excited.
Major shakedown for car as well hoping our improvements work.
New proper aerodynamic rear wing, wider front wheel track and different diff setup...either go faster or flop..lol
Wish us luck!!
What kind of racing do you do? My dad was into drag racing when he was younger. Most of what I remember about being at the racetrack was that it was usually hot and very loud. I was sensitive to noise as a kid and I'd hide when he started his car. I hope someday he will show DS his cars.
