...you’re late starting work because your cat was laying on you and you absolutely couldn’t disturb them!

...you’ve got Netflix stuck on the “are you still watching?” screen because you can’t reach the remote without moving the cat.

...you’ve suffered a dead leg after cramping up in some awkward position because, you guessed it, you can’t disturb the cat...

...you now sleep without any pillows and with your feet hanging off the end of the bed because your cat has decided that your pillows are now her bed and god forbid you attempt to share.

...you cook and prepare better meals for your cat than you do for the other humans in your household (I have a cookbook called ‘Cooking For Two: Your Cat And You’ and I would highly recommend it!)

...you spend more time updating your cat’s Instagram account than your own (hers is SinclairTheKitten if you’re interested).

...you wear cat hair on your clothes like a badge of honour.

You put them above yourself or anyone else. They are most important to you and will always come first in your life , no matter what happens.
As much as I love my fiancé, we both know that if I ever had to choose between him or the cat it would be the cat, without hesitation!

Mine shares until I go to sleep, then her body somehow miraculously expands, so that when I wake up she is on the pillow and I am not.

When you have these little scratches all over your legs and you’re so used to it that you barely notice when it happens. Mocha stretches out on my legs every evening to watch TV with me and flexes her little paws in her sleep.

I woke up the other morning with parallel scratches just below my collar bone. The only thing I could figure out was that Lily climbed over me in the night. It didn’t wake me up.

when my old renski who isnt here anymore, used to scratch my eyes open as a last resort in his menu of waking up modus operandi......knocking things off shelves, chewing paperwork and books, suffocating me etc etc ha ha my new little warlocks share this task, one periodically comes and jumps over me and the other one claws his way around the mattress meow

We had to leave our house for it to be sprayed for carpenter ants. I brought everything we could possibly need so the cats would have all the comforts of home where we were going to wait out the 5 hours. Forgot to grab anything comfy for me to sit on. So ended up sitting on the floor in one of the cat beds with one of their blankets.

They break your laptop and TV, scratch you, ruin your work uniform, destroy your kitchen on a daily basis and you give them a big hug and kiss.
Wow! And I thought my two were bad! My tabby sent me to prompt care with an infected arm after an attention bite went too far. Before I realized it, I heard her fang pop my skin. Two days later I'm at prompt care with a large red area and red streak going up my arm. Antibiotic and tetanus shots and antibiotics by mouth. When I got home, I gave her a kiss. Even the nurse practitioner went uhhh when she saw my arm. Fortunately the area started looking better by that night.

I had one that would suck on my eyeball. I have no idea why and no one else does either except that it may be a nursing behaviour (still no one seems to know, why eyeballs, except maybe a salt thing).

I'm not a morning person so I'd just go back to sleep with the cat still doing that. If they bat my face, I turn over. If they scratch or poke the back of my head I just sleep through it.
