💩👍

Looks like a one-and-done. 🤞

I'm hoping that means I can break away tonight to pick up more enzymes for her. I'm running so low, I'm opening the trial packs.

I think this was of sufficient size that I don't expect another until tomorrow morning. Or if she wants to be super-regular, she might go again at 3am. 🤦‍♂️

Hoping it is a one-and-done! and that you can get a new supply of those important enzymes. HAGE/N you two!

💩💩
That was unexpected.

“Nobody expects the Spanish Elimination!” 🏰🤦‍♂️

So far, two boxes, a tiny carpet kiss, a butt drag, but no barfing yet. 🤞

We had a good 💩. Then a little 🤮 and then a runny 💩. At least the poops made it to boxes.

I think she's done. She was certainly ready for her 3 pm meal, crouched on the kitchen floor waiting for me to finish cleaning up. She joined me on the kitchen counter without hesitation when it was clear that I was going to fix her meal. She even gave a squealing meow when I finished plating and was ready to walk it over to her eating spot.

I hate that she's still having issues. But she always seems so much better after. Until the next time... 😿

I don't think I'm going to give her a B-12. She just had one two days ago. If she barfs again, I'll go ahead and 🤺 her.

Yeah, it's maddening, isn't it? You try so hard to work out a schedule that works for her. It can't be fun for either of you. But that squealine meow makes it all SO worth it, doesn't it? :hearthrob: :kneading::hearthrob:

We had a 💩 and then we had a 🤮 and then we had a 💣 🤦‍♂️

She dropped a stinky, runny one in the office.

Then we had one more 🤮 for good measure.😿

So she definitely got 🤺 This was a good one.💉

And then somewhere in the middle of cleanup, she gave the Cat Dancer a whack or two and went up to her toy bin.

”Glad you feel better!”

If there’s any bright spot to this, she escaped without barf paws. :yess:

So I was reading about bladderwrack in her green power because tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 previously brought it to my attention. Apparently it can have a laxative effect. The green powder also has probiotic in it. So I may be overdoing the probiotics. I’ll give her a break from the PB8 and see if that eliminates the runny second poops we’ve been having. Then I can try to reduce the green powder dose if that doesn’t work. She’s still only getting half the recommended dose right now. But she’s also about half a cat by weight. 😿

I didn’t realize her new chemo was already delivered. I think her current chemo is going bad if it hasn’t turned already. She needed extra salmon oil this morning to get her to finish the tiny little medicine meal that she used to have no issues with. I will pick up her medicine this morning and we’ll start with the new stuff on Tuesday.

Glad her new chemo is ready! And yeah, bladderwrack is some powerful stuff. "1 : ruin, destruction. 2 : a remnant of something destroyed. wrack. verb (1) wracked; wracking; wracks." That's no exaggeration. It's used as a medicinal herb in many societies and it's not to be trifled with.

Perhaps they should call it colonwrack.

I think maybe I’ll start by reducing that dose first.

She was only reluctantly eating today. She didn’t even touch the green portion she usually enjoys. I wonder if it was yet another bad can. Or just residual from this morning’s double ended blowout. 😿

I went through two cans tonight that didn’t look right. Wrong texture. Down the sink they went. The third looked good. Smelled alright. Krista wasn’t convinced. I put a little rabbit and pumpkin patè next to it. She ate both portions. So I guess we’re doing this.

I want to try her back on the rabbit and pumpkin. Especially because the rabbit patè is so hard to find now. I am down to my last case of 5.5 oz cans. But no one else has them. I went through all seven online vendors I know and one sold me a case. I expect that order to be canceled on Monday. I bought a case of 3 oz cans from the local store though. I won’t be completely left without yet.

Anyway. I won’t start her on the rabbit and pumpkin too fast. Hopefully by second dinner, tonight’s pred will have kicked in and we can get through this last can of this questionable rabbit case. I have two more cans left. But I marked them and put them in the back of the cupboard. I opened the last 5.5 oz case. May we have better luck with this one.

Between the supply chain problems and the QC issues Rawz is looking like a villain here. I hope you can find more, or some other company can come to the rescue. It's so unfair that you have to deal with this on top of everything else

If I could switch her to another brand, I would have. I’ve been through all the cans several times over looking for single proteins and no gums or other problematic ingredients with her. For the last two years, while dealing with her teeth and IBD, I would cruise the cans any time I was in a pet food store. I’d pick up a can of anything that looked promising and would try it with her. There just aren’t any other brands she can have. There’s always some stray poultry, egg, or gum that doesn’t agree with her anymore. I’d rather have QC and supply issues over IBD and pancreatitis flare ups. But I’d rather not have any of those issues.

If I can transition her to rabbit and pumpkin, there are no supply issues there. And there seems to be 3 oz cans of the rabbit pate available. So it’s not a total lack of rabbit. I’ll probably end up with a hybrid approach of 3 oz cans of both rabbit and rabbit and pumpkin. I think the quality tends to be more even on the 3 oz cans too.

Out of nowhere, she had a small wet cough on the floor. 🤮. It wasn’t a whole meal. I don’t think it was a hairball or an acid barf. I think it was maybe just a little extra from the pumpkin trials. Having had a taste of it at first dinner, she showed up on the counter after I plated second dinner without it. I had to prep a few grams of it (weigh it and warm it up under hot water) and mix it into her plated meal to get her started on second dinner.

She didn’t get barf paws and she doesn’t seem any worse for the wear. I popped her 1 am feeder since it was late. And I’ll clean up in the morning since it’s much too late for the wet vac. It will come right up with the upright tomorrow. That’s why it’s called an upright. 😹

I think she’s feeling better from earlier today. Her dinner plates are cleaned and she had no hesitation with the first feeder.

We start the new 5.5 oz case in the morning. If we’re still having QC issues, I’ll open the new 3 oz cans instead.

She 💩’ed me out of bed this morning at 4:30 am. It was soft and stinky right from the start. But that first one made it to a box. Then while I was distracted tying up the first one, the 💣. 😿🤦🏼‍♂️ Quiet hours or not, that one was coming up. Sorry neighbors. The wet cough from 1am not withstanding, she did not barf this time.

I think the runny poo is consistent with the extra salmon oil she needed to take her medicine yesterday morning. And maybe a questionable can. If she was brewing that all day, that makes sense how “off” she seemed.

The first can from the new case seems soggier than the last batch. But then I did see a number of cans in that last case that were like this. It didn’t smell off. I decided we’d give it a try anyway. I mixed in some rabbit and pumpkin for good measure. We’re going back to basics today. Only enzymes. No Miralax. No green powder. No salmon oil. No probiotics. Let’s give the rabbit and pumpkin some space to do what it’s going to do. 🤞
